Is day trading worth it?

Why do you believe DBP is successful in trading? Read the persons evasive answers when challenged. --- It's quite clear to those who actually play the game whose real and who is not.-------

  2. You insult everyone on here with your canned platitudes (to your Master) and condescension to anyone who doesn't buy into your scam. I post blotters and actual trades. Two large winners and posted blotters showing me up 10% for the week. He was challenged (after challenging others) and ignored the challenge.

I offered to let him login to my account this past weekend to vet the trades I had posted. He ignored it as it would've required QPQ.

DBPhoenix called out the OP of this thread. Quite the hypocrite.

Well, from a psychological perspective who can say what anyone is thinking? Sure, for some people it would be painful and a crushing blow to the ego to fail at something and then watch someone else succeed. See sibling rivalries, etc......

But also, maybe some people are looking at someone like DBP...... and seeing similar patterns in his behavior to that of other past guru figures........ and asking the questions they never thought to ask of their own online "mentors" when they started out..... or maybe feel it's a moral issue to expose someone they believe is being dishonest or operating with ulterior motives.

Probably no one is really concerned of his students fate...... no one will lose any sleep if they all fail....... Most likely it is just for personal curiosity to find out if he can walk what he talks......

By the way... in this thread he took credit for posting in advance a large market move and it was later shown that he never called anything in advance.... just a hindsight chart over an hour after the close. So he is on record as a LIAR.

  4. DBP doesn't trade, but runs literally dozens of threads on here posting charts after the session is over. I have no problem with guys on sim or the discussion in general. He infects dozens of threads unrelated to his BS.

If he has stuck to his knitting in his own thread then I assume any detractors would have let him be. The fact is that he takes credit for moves after the fact when no predictive-call existed. And he does it on literally dozens of threads.

DBP stated he'd made 60 pts on Friday and 80 on Monday (week ago). Nothing to back it up but the charts. When pressed he calls you out. When you provide blotters he runs away. No trade calls. No blotters.

He was banned from the other forum for these reasons and others.

So you are saying that you play the game and its clear to you that he isn't successful. Therefore, there is no way for me to convince you. If it was proven that he was successful then you would have to admit that it wasn't clear to you.

I have no idea how much money he makes. But it is very obvious with my own testing that if I trade the way he shows I will be making money, which is good enough for me.

Yes he claimed he called it in advance when in fact he called nothing in advance.

So he is on public record as a LIAR.

  7. Ya, then he asks me if I "made 60 on Friday" so I produced the 4% gain for the day. He disappears.

I don't know the particular example you are referring to, but something came to mind.

Mark Douglas in his book on trading psychology states something along the lines that you never know what is going to happen next, but that you don't need to know to make money. Its all a matter of probabilities, the statistical edge.

It really does come down to supply and demand and trader behavior. If I have something everyone wants, I can charge more money. If I want to get rid of something nobody wants at a certain price, I have to accept less. The sentiment of traders is right there on the chart, we just have to see who is in control, buyers or sellers, and then figure out a way to get in that provides the least amount of risk.

I have no idea what you studied before for 2 years to make you give up, and I don't blame anyone for giving up because most stuff out there is crap and doesn't ultimately work. But this might be something different than what you have done before, so evaluating this method would require a fresh set of eyes.

If you are at all interested, don't believe me or Db for that matter. But why not just spend some time reading the material in the threads to see if it makes sense. You are clearly interested or else you wouldn't be here at Elite. He put it all in a PDF for free after all. You don't need to know what will happen next to make money, you just need to know what is happening right now.

Oppps... you have posted this twice now in capital letters. I think I wasted my time on typing up my post to you since you are already convinced! LOL

  10. Why are you avoiding Pigs point? By the way, most of the things that actually work trading don't make sense in the traditional meaning. Therefore, your statement about seeing if what is said " makes sense" simply shows your lack of knowledge.
