I cannot understand the mindset necessary to cling to the absurd belief that studying a chart in hindsight and applying some TLs is somehow helpful to anyone but the guy selling the line of BS. Why no entries? Why no blotters? "Buy at Y with a SL at X" I'll post my run tonight and why don't you do the same, DBCooper.
I imagine this db Phoenix vendor author is also an elderly gentleman or lady who is simply living a fantasy here on elite trader. The person has been humiliated and exposed as a phony-- yet just keeps on posting the same drivel. Do people actually follow these clearly false traders. It's truly mind blowing. H
You quoted a comment directed at Hershey not DBP. DBP isn't selling anything. Why not have a look at his methodology and attack that? No one has actually discredited the methodology but enjoy kicking the method maker around for sport. Two posts and you already know who is the real deal and who isn't. I'm impressed.
Regarding DB, I see a lot of his padawans stepping up to defend him, but it should be said that DB is running a pretty bad mouth and only gets what he deserves While I've given DB a hard time and asked him critical questions, I've never called him characterized him with terms such as 'low-hanging fruit' that he likes to use himself. If he had replied like an adult he would never have gotten this type of responses. If you stick your head out and run a big mouth as well, you better be prepared for what's coming. Peace.
I hear you there, but to clarify, I'm not equating losers with bad trades. I equal bad trades with overtrading, trades with poor R/R, impulsive trades, etc. In other words, not part of the plan. If I only took the very best trades and avoided/reduced the above, I think my P&L would be pretty nice using my existing methodology/trading plan.
Its funny you mention this. My early interactions with DBP were him slamming my previous approach to the market. He didn't pull any punches. It hurt my ego. I like to meditate and when I bump into something that hurts I've learned to look more deeply at it. It turns out in my case he was right. I thought I had a structured plan but it came unraveled when he tugged on the first string. We don't always like the way the message is delivered. It hurts our egos - we've invested a lot of emotional capital and time in figuring this stuff out. Did I like the way the message was delivered? No. It doesn't mean the message was wrong. Most people posting here (ET in general) are low hanging fruit - myself included. Is it bad to think of yourself as a beginner? "If your mind is empty, it is always ready for anything; it is open to everything. In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities; in the expert's mind there are few." - Shunryu Suzuki
ammo, what necessary parts of this very large business do you think Db have left out? Are they crucial for success? I am not trolling; I am really interested in your view on this.
