Is day trading worth it?

  1. I assume you have only asked this question because of how you see "traders" carrying themselves. When I started trading, it really was all about the money. However, ironically, as I have settled in this business, the fascination with it is really not much of an importance.

I guess then that posses the question of why trade? Well, the answer to that is pretty simple. Most people trade because they want to afford a certain kind of lifestyle, which is mostly based on material. Those are not the things that I am very much interested in anymore and the things that I want, money can't buy.

I have to say that I really do enjoy trading. You are your own man (no employer/employees) and you have time at your discretion. Additionally, it is a challenging task that requires you to come with your A game. In conditioning yourself to keep at that level, you are forced to be disciplined and must maintain a lifestyle that resonates with that. Overall, it keeps you at a very good level inside and outside of the trading ring; mind, body and soul.

The result of all this is having a healthy P/L. That money can be used in many different ways. Once you accumulate material things and "naughty" entertainment, the value of it all fades with time. However, if you have a real purpose, than money can be used as a tool to achieve that. So, for me, besides providing financial security (which doesn't require too much if diversified appropriately), I tend to use it as a tool.

Yes it does. And the very best of them are an amusement to watch.

I don't think your deserve any less as you've been very polite in your conversations.

    This was funny! :D:D:D

I have never offered to mentor anyone, leave aside charging anyone. However, I am guiding two people at the moment with their journey in trading. I am very open in my teachings with them and truly want them to be successful. I take consolation in knowing that when they are financially comfortable, they are going to go on and help improve lives around them. We live in a time when we have forgotten to see the good in people around us and the beauty that we are surrounded with.

Lastly, I don't think that the amount someone would offer me for mentoring would be significant enough for me to consider.

  2. Wow, such verbiage! From someone who has been involved the markets ( in one way or another) for the last 25 years-- your post smacks of arrogance, compounded naivete', and noob bait.

I don't have time right now to dissect it line by line-- but one example is "fascinated by trading" EVERY succesful trader I have ever heard of views trading as simply a job, not something fascinating-- fascination is for those who don't understand how markets really work.

I don't mean to sound harsh, but this post ( between the lines) makes its very clear. Your language gives you away. Good luck trolling for clients here until you are banned.

  3. It's like saying playing ball is not the way to get wealthy. Your chances with trading are in par with any other profession. In fact i could argue that it's easier to get wealthy with trading due to the fact that you are self reliant.

  4. It's okay. You're entitled to your opinion.

I do not have a single post soliciting any business (though I have had offers and kindly declined) and Baron knows well enough of my posting history to impose a ban.

    Wishing you well,

  5. No way. Your chances are far greater owning any other business to get wealthy. Certainly, it is possible via trading, but the odds are hugely hugely against you.

As I said before, you can easily be the smartest and savviest guy who owns a pizza shop in your town and crush the competition---- but in trading you are up against the most savvy, ruthless and intelligent folks on earth--- how can you say that it is an equal chance?? surf

That's why you are called a stealth vendor. You are smart enough not to be direct. I tried it here myself and it works-- but I was banned and learned my lesson after earning substantial sums indirectly from my contacts here--- so you are talking to someone who KNOWS YOUR GAME.

    Peace to you, regardless!!
