How is his portofolio overall? Doesn't matter what one or two of his calls do. Even the best in the world will get it wrong every once in awhile. So no need to be angry, since you chose to follow his advice on your own.
I respect them airing the interviews because they were not in line with Jim's previous calls. For disclosure purposes, he has helped make me big $$$ on UNH and GOOG.
there's more threads devoted to this one guy on here than any other. Why is that? Maybe because those who choose to follow his advice to the letter T without doing their own research and happen to get burned always end up on here bittching and whining about it. Own up to your own mistakes and take responsiblity for your actions. Sick and tired of hearing you people whining about it. NOW, if there were actual useful analysis from ET users on the mechanics of why he made certain calls and how hecame to those conclusions , then that would be a good topic to discuss. Regardless of whether it's a good or bad call.
CAT was his pick of the week based on ETN's blowout #'s. He's predicting CAT will do the same. Funny thing was that he warned viewers not to chase it higher and I don't think they listened. I thought I was going to be in good shape shorting at the end of the extended session last night at 52.3. Oh well at least he provides a little added volatility.
I don't have Cable TV to watch his show but once I saw it in the gym. Actually I liked it. It was entertaining. I don't think that he is a moron but those who follow him blindly are morons
Does it matter? He could have said "buy CAT cause it starts with C just like my name" and it would moved up on trader momo & short covers.
