He means there is no reason to assume it will open again near the same price.

If interrupted by some sort of catastrophe, such as 9/11, the price could be VERY different.

Why would you assume that?

If there is a black swan event that causes ES trading to hault, why would it reopen at the same price?

If a stock gets haulted for news dissemination or an order imbalance, would it reopen at the same price?

Doesn't anybody think before posting?

It will reopen at the highest bid. B/A's are not held on a halt or weekend,3:15-3:30 or 4:30-5:00 pm cst maintinance closes.
