That's essentially what I was getting at. Although the guy in Brazil seems to be very conservative from what I am reading. GWB just hates him for his COVID stance.
Personally denying COVID as a political leader and implementing policies that kill thousands of your citizens while causing endless misery for others -- is a very good reason to strongly dislike a political leader.
Depends on what country you live in. We have political leaders in the U.S. who get an Emmy and and become known as "The Gold Standard" for doing that. Women weep and write love letters to them. The soy men do too.
Endless misery like massive unemployment, closing family businesses, high opioid usage, depression and suicide? Or is that not misery?
Yes... when you address COVID correctly like New Zealand then your economy can remain open and you avoid all of this misery related to the wide-spread prevalence of the disease.
The most oppressive regimes are communists and socialists and they are all fascist. Tamping out those with contrary views. Here4BS, you just keep outdoing yourself. Sinking lower into the swamp with your fellow swamp creatures.
If only the world were New Zealand, got it. Can't compare Sweden to anyone but Finland and Norway, but can compare New Zealand to Brazil now.
When it comes to fascism, Bolsonaro has got nothing on President Harris and Dead Man Walkin' Biden...
When you a sparsely populated island all you have to do is lockdown your population in the most brutal way, close your borders, restrict your citizens' freedoms... confirm your status as a bootlicking Chinese cesspool of authoritarianism, watch your economy fall by a record 12% in Q2... make public debt explode... design shitty COVID apps, fail on your border control (closed until 2023, probably), mandatory $3500 2 week quarantines for failed PCR tests on a virus with a 99+% survivability rate, much higher for people under 65 with no Comorbs....... and your economy will grow at...wait for it...NEGATIVE 2.2% (September-September)... BRA FUCKING VO... The Kiwis are the model...LOOOOOOL.. We could all learn from Fiji and New Caledonia, too...
