Is Bernanke the greatest economist of all time?

    Bernanke inherited a boatload of problems from Greenspan, but instead of doing the proper thing, and letting the system cleanse itself, he has only delayed the pain, bailed out the irresponsible, shifted risky investment losses onto parties that were not responsible for those losses, punished savers, and cut interest rates to a degree and in a manner that really has had exacerbated inflation without having any stimulative effect in terms of consumer spending, as banks are reluctant to lend to consumers right now at given the horrible state of their books.
