Is anyone using a projector for their charts?

I am wondering if anyone has found something like this useful to monitor important charts throughout the trading day...

HP Notebook Projection Companion - Portable Projector

The idea is to dedicate 1 computer to projecting their most important charts on the wall so they become real obvious. Also saves monitor space.

Cost is about $220 for the projector, a screen for $50-100 or just use the wall, and an unused laptop.

    Many thanks for any input.

  2. Bigger display does not mean more information. If anything, it makes it harder to see because as display size increases, quality degrades. I caution you to find out from the vendor what the projected resolution will be. Then set a monitor to that resolution and see how much stuff you put on there. Then imagine that in the size and space on the wall and you'll have an indication of what you're getting into.

    Just my $0.02.

You are better off watching porn on such a large screen, the largest screen I would use to trade/watch charts is a 24", I guess a 32" works!

  5. It's garbage. Don't buy it.

  6. Your going to want an HD projector ,don't go cheap. Keep in mind that the room you want to use should be able to go pretty dark on command with good shades that keep all the light out.

Projectors are awesome for movies and videogames, for work it's not really practical but fun to hook up once in a while.
