  1. Malaka is a funny guy. I feel warm inside when he speaks; like a drink of russian vodka.

nothing like a nice drink of vodka before sitting down to a healthy bowl of Malaka's panty-soup...

I disagree...although i understand your concerns. Wht beat around the bush and waste time with a broker or software that has no use in the end?

I say jump right in and start with the tools you will need to master and learn along the way. If done cautiously (trading with real capitol) theres no reason not to in my opinion.

That being said i think the greater concern was you might not have the skills yet to use these tools efectivelly enough in the beggining. Theres a great chance of losing money quicklly as i'm sure you understand by now.

I have not read through this entire thread yet to see if you have chosen a broker or software yet but my opinion would be eSignal as a software platform and Interactive Brokers as a broker.

eSignal has a great data feed, is a top notch product that has everything needed to trade sucessfully and is not tied to a broker that requires opening an account to use. Also has a nice papertrading feature.

Interactive Brokers is a good all around broker that offer more than enough service and has very reasonable commisions.

  9. Everyone is relieved that we had some decent movement today. Yesterday was tight w/o much to do except eat panty soup and drink russian vodka. I hope this quarter sizzles. For all of our sake.

The first thing and most important item on your "to do" list is first learn how to lose.

Then if you feel there is still a fire burning to win, you do the following: Keep losing as before but this time learn from your mistakes.

Then if the fire is still raging, do the following: keep this procedure up until you "GET IT", it will get rather simple, then and only then can you indeed make a ton of cash.:D

You will become a winner when you decide you will do what the books tell you to do. There is no holy grail, the winning combination is in print, you just need to get it imprinted into your phychie. Good Luck

caveat: trade the ES, it is modern, it is the king, it has volumn, it has action, it is sexy.:p
