Are they competing with both? I heard they are kicking intel's ass but when I buy computer parts for graphics, it's usually only AMD or Invdia. Intel makes the CPU or does AMD do that too?
I think intel tried the GPU market before but never took off. Do think they have something coming out this year. nvidia has always lead the way in top of line while AMD kept the midrange products affordable. AMD has been on a tear with their processors. Performance and price are beating intel. Have noticed quite a few higher end laptops rocking AMD when before it would’ve been i7 or nothing.
What always seemed weird to me is how the price of GPUs apparently doesn't change over Time. Even after the Bitcoin Bubble burst prices plateud and remained steady
answer is yes. nvda - makes mainly graphic chips intel - makes mainly CPU chips amd - makes both mu - makes mainly memory chips TI - makes various IC
Why would newer models that are a lot more powerful get cheaper? Old models have dropped a lot in price. Card I paid about $200 worth new is now at about $50-60 used.
