Is a demo account waste of time?

    Not sure what your point is. My point was to answer his statement that no mechanical system worked. I provided an example of one that did. Yes computers follow the law of Garbage In, Garbage Out. So do humans. I don't see the garbage in the link I provided.

    The lack of a viable trading plan is far and away the main reason why beginners fail. Look at the nonsense spouted in this thread: anybody can win in demo; only losing real money teaches you how to trade; mechanical systems never work. Amazing.

    I see a lot of people claiming they work, but when asked to back it up, strangely I don't get any takers, it's as if there lying, nahhhh surely not, there not demo traders hunting for a grail that doesn't exist, no not them.

    But there's no evidence that it works (like trickle-down economics :)). I'm not suggesting that it's garbage, only that it does not address the comment which prompted the post.
