Not sure what your point is here, kut. Computer simulations can yield all sorts of nonsense, little of which ever works when one tries to trade it. There are many reasons why beginners and diletantes fail, the lack of a trading plan being only one of them.
Not sure what your point is. My point was to answer his statement that no mechanical system worked. I provided an example of one that did. Yes computers follow the law of Garbage In, Garbage Out. So do humans. I don't see the garbage in the link I provided.
The lack of a viable trading plan is far and away the main reason why beginners fail. Look at the nonsense spouted in this thread: anybody can win in demo; only losing real money teaches you how to trade; mechanical systems never work. Amazing.
I see a lot of people claiming they work, but when asked to back it up, strangely I don't get any takers, it's as if there lying, nahhhh surely not, there not demo traders hunting for a grail that doesn't exist, no not them.
But there's no evidence that it works (like trickle-down economics ). I'm not suggesting that it's garbage, only that it does not address the comment which prompted the post.
I don't much care whether you believe me or not. My posts are directed toward the OP. As I said, best of luck to you.
