Unrestrained thinking, could be the foundation for making a good trader.

    Quote from pspr:

The IRS and God - your two biggest problems! Or are there others we don't know about? You make a great contrarian - always zig when the rest of the world zags and to h*ll with what is right.

No use to complain about the IRS or Taxes or anything else the government does. I accepted a long time ago that society here in the US basically wants what it has: rampant socialism and beaurcratic control over your life.

Otherwise people would vote differently and change what exists.

  3. If GG has to pinch pennies and cannot afford $30-$50 for a tax program, how the hell can he justify trading with the money he does (or does not) have?

GG is a bag of wind.

  5. i am TOTALLY against INCOME tax.

i realize a government needs money to function. however, INCOME should not be taxed. i think a sales/consumption tax is a MUCH better approach. people should be able to save their non-taxed money for security. if i'm uncertain about my financial situation, i should be able to save all the money i want, without it being taxed first. then, when i do spend it on a big TV or something, the government can get its share then.

another thing i like about a sales tax would be that the rates should apply equally to everyone. i HATE how income is taxed at different rates. a sales tax should tax us all equally.

the income tax should go OUT THE WINDOW.

  6. you missed the point entirely.

if the government is going to require its citizens to file tax returns (and fine them/threaten them with jail if they don't), THEY should be required to make the filing process something its citizens can understand easily on their own.

i should not need to spend $1 to figure out my taxes easily. if income is going to be taxed, the tax code needs a complete overhaul. but income should not be taxed, anyway. we should get rid of the income tax and create a sales tax which is automatically done at the cash register, with an equal sales tax rate for all.

i should run for office. maybe i will after i make a few million from the markets.

  7. here's another FANTASTIC reason for a sales tax instead of income tax.

a lot of people don't complain about taxes in america because so many pay so little. if a equal sales tax were applied to all, rich and poor, we would ALL feel the tax rates impacting us. as it is now, people who pay no taxes are basically saying, "keep taking no money from me, but give me everything, too, and have someone else pay my share." then they vote for democrats because they give them what they want.

right now the majority of america may say no to tax cuts for the rich, because the rich are the minority. were everyone to be taxed equally, we just might have lower tax rates because so many people would not want them high.

It's not all that complicated. All you need to do is know what parts apply to you and familiarize yourself with that part of the tax code.

The last part of the above quote I find humorous ... "if it was how it should be" .... might I ask "how should it be"? Do you think you get to specify what's too complex or simplistic?

I had a CPA do my taxes one year. I analyzed what he did and I've done them every year since. It's not rocket science.

I think it's because of statements like the above that have people ripping you ...

FYI ... The tax code IS in English. Oh wait, I made an assumption ... you DO live in the US????

Since you don't like The Pledge of Allegiance and the you perceive the tax code is apparently written in non-English maybe a foreign country would be a nice change of scenery.

  10. come back to earth, man.

you may be able to do a satisfactory return on your own (after wasting a few hours of your life), but are you taking advantage of everything you can? you could probably have 10 accountants do your taxes and get 10 different results.

btw, the USA tax code is ~1,395,000 words. don't give me some, "it's not all that complicated" BS!!!

there's obviously a problem here. anyone who doesn't think so is from another planet.
