DOJ Lawyer: âGovernment Email Servers Backed Up Every Nightâ So No Way Would Lerner Emails Be âAccidentallyâ Lost LOIS LERNERâS âLOSTâ EMAILS A reader writes from inside the Department of Justice to comment on the two-year gap in Lois Lernerâs intra-government email messages: Iâm a DOJ lawyer, so you obviously cannot use my name or any identifying information. But the idea that a âhard drive crashâ somehow destroyed all of Ms. Lernerâs intra-government email correspondence during the period in question [2009-2011] is laughable. Government email servers are backed up every night. So if she actually had a hard drive fail, her emails would be recoverable from the backup. If the backup was somehow also compromised, then we are talking about a conspiracy. Keep up the good work. He reiterates in a postscript: Iâm serious about your keeping any identifying information out of the media. Things are very, very bad. There has to be more to the story and the hearings should start next week. more...
This is the kind of bullshit you pull when you own the media. Iraq melting down, you go golfing, give a speech on climate change. IRS conspires to sway an election, damning e-mails asked to be produced, you just say they got lost, and expect that to suffice. Media shrugs their shoulders and says, OK, nothing to see here. The founders of this country gave the media great power with the first amendment. They did this knowing of the inevitable corruption that permeates every level of government. They knew, and the success of our country depends upon, an unbiased media holding their feet to the fire to counter that corruption. That is the job of the press. When the press goes so completely in the tank as they have the past six years, the entire system fails. This is why we're seeing one crisis after another going unchecked. A criminally corrupt congress and White House now just look straight into the camera and lie. Lies so blatant and bold they don't pass the most elementary sniff test. They lost the e-mails? Insults the intelligence of everyone and anyone with the most basic understanding of computer technology. And the MSM has no questions.
Great point. It was barely covered by the lame stream media: Lacking Curiosity, Lacking Credibility: The Mediaâs IRS Scandal Problem http://thefederalist.com/2014/06/16...g-credibility-the-medias-irs-scandal-problem/
