I notice you support Sierra Chart AND Sierra's Teton routing offering.

I also read on your margins page that day-margins for 3rd party platforms are subject to higher amounts.

Are day-trade margins different for Sierra with/without using Teton?

    Thanks

The standard day margin rates for Sierra/Teton are 10% of the exchange margin, however this is customizable on an account-by-account basis. If you'd like, shoot me an email at mike.murphy@ironbeam.com if you have any other questions.

    Hello,
I am new to futures and I am currently trying out the Ironbeam demo version and I wanted to ask a question perhaps someone here can answer it
I was trying to set up a new strategy but I find the form confusing and I can't find any instructions for it
Why is the default symbol MES ? do I have to change that or leave that alone ?
I mainly want to click on a price to enter and close at a price let's say 0.10 away from that price

This would be for the QM symbol and I guess the closes strategy would be the OpenAndClose strategy
There is a 3 next to the price and - and + on each side I am not sure what that is for but I don't need to change the entry price because I assume I will get filled on the price I clicked on

On the closing side it's a similar setup but I am not sure how to set it up to give me 0.10 difference If I click on the +/- it just changes the MES price by 0.25 which is not relevant to the QM

It seems like I have to setup a default order with my symbol and than modify that one

    Hey there!

    Happy to answer your question.

In regards to the defaults, this is referring to the trigger order. You do not need to change anything in the defaults because once the strategy is enabled in the DOM, the default order is whatever order you place in the DOM to trigger the strategy/next orders.

The +/- 3 is referring to the number of ticks. So to clear up any confusion on your end, you can change the default symbol to QM although it will have no material effect.

Shoot me an email, we can do a screenshare and clear this up in just a few minutes.

You are new to futures and are starting out with QM? That's a funky one. MCL would probably give you better performance. Just a tip.

    Thanks for the reply
Unfortunately my free demo expired so I can't try out your suggestion but I will keep it in mind if I decide to sign up with Ironbeam

I understand QM maybe a little more risky but I feel that it's easier to make money on a 0.10 move than on a 0.50 move in /MCL I could be wrong but it seems to work for me
I can make $50 in a few minutes while I am struggling to make that much with SPX options which may take days or weeks although that could be because we are in this volatile market

I use TradingView strategies to auto-trade and I'd like to use Ironbeam.
    1. Is there a prebuilt way to connect Webhook alerts from TradingView to Ironbeam API to place orders?
    2. Is there an added charge to use Ironbeam's API?
Thank you for posting here. This is very helpful.

    Hey @Artech,

There is no prebuilt way to connect TV webhooks to Ironbeam API, but you could build your own on our API if you'd like.

The pricing for the Ironbeam API depends on the service level. The cost varies, and in some scenarios is free. I would encourage you to reach out to trading@ironbeam.com to discuss your project and pricing.
