Latest track has it going down the center of the state, but weakening substantially. Should be category 2 by Tampa/Orlando, but still powerful when it comes on shore in Miami. Watch the 2PM Saturday timeframe. If it doesn't turn as suspected then, you can expect a much more westerly track. Important to also note that the Atlanta area will see a Cat 1 hurricane if this forecast holds. I think it's been a while since that happened.
Latest track has it missing you guys (assuming you are Miami) and going west. Current track as of 5pm has it going over my house, almost directly.
Irma is beating the crap out of Cuba right now, but the island is also taking it's toll on the bitch. West coast landfall looks like it's the theme now. The problem, however, is the sheer size of the storm. It's now the size of France, with hurricane force winds that cover the state's width. There's no where to hide.
