FEMA camps were activated in the US 3 weeks ago, with RFQ's gone out to contractors to staff, service and maintain such camps. "Civilian Internment specialist" job postings have gone up on US Army websites. For our military veterans, FEMA is now equipped with blue-force, red-force tracking technology for domestic operations in the US. US Military assets are blue force. Red force? American citizens. People like Lindsay Graham, gave Hitlarian-inspired speeches a couple weeks ago, shouting NO LAWYER FOR ANY AMERICAN that wages war against the US. In his words, the NDAA turns the homeland into "a battlefield". McCain loves it. Carl Levin said Obama pressured him and McCain to ensure Americans were covered by the indefinite military detention provision. They weren't compelled to oblige. But they did. Happily. The Senate passed the NDAA some 90 votes to 8? There is virtually zero coverage in the media. MTV is running ads that compare present-day America to the Jewish roundups in Germany. Shit is going down, extremely fast. On the cyber front, SOPA empowers the Government to wage cyber war against any site deemed a "threat to the United States" or her interests. Again, the language is so broad, the executive has total discretionary control over what sites stay up, and which go down. U.S. Navy will remain in Persian Gulf, Pentagon says

The Pentagon on Tuesday answered an Iranian warning to keep U.S. aircraft carriers out of the Persian Gulf by declaring that American warships will continue regularly scheduled deployments to the strategic waterway. George Little, the Pentagon press secretary, said the Navy operates in the Gulf in accordance with international law and to maintain "a constant state of high vigilance" to ensure the flow of sea commerce.

Earlier Tuesday, Iran's army chief warned an American aircraft carrier not to return to the Gulf.

The U.S. Navy has said the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis and another vessel exited the Gulf through the Strait of Hormuz a week ago. Iran has been holding naval exercises near the Strait at the mouth of the Gulf, which is a critically important passage for international oil supplies.

"The deployment of U.S. military assets in the Persian Gulf region will continue as it has for decades," Little said in a written statement. "These are regularly scheduled movements in accordance with our longstanding commitments to the security and stability of the region and in support of ongoing operations."

The U.S. Navy 5th Fleet has long been headquartered in the Gulf state of Bahrain.

Asked whether the U.S. intends to send naval reinforcements to the Gulf in response to Iranian talk of closing the Strait of Hormuz, Little did not answer directly but said, "No one in this government seeks confrontation over the Strait of Hormuz. It's important to lower the temperature."

Little reiterated that any closure of the strait would not be tolerated, but he declined to elaborate.

On Monday Iran test-fired a surface-to-surface cruise missile as part of its naval maneuvers in the Gulf, prompting Iran's navy chief to boast that the strait is "completely under our control."

Asked about the significance of the missile test, Little said, "We are aware of reports of missile tests that are apparently tied to Iranian naval exercises that began in late December. They have the right to conduct exercises. The United States believes that the Iranian regime should devote its energy and resources to establishing friendly relations with countries in the Gulf region."

CHINA TELLS AMERICA: Turn Around The USS George Washington



China has warned against military activity near its coastline ahead of U.S.-Korea naval exercises, according to Reuters.

China's Foreign Ministry said in an online posting that naval exercises risks starting a war: "We oppose any military act by any party conducted in China's exclusive economic zone without approval."

North Korea has also threatened to respond to military gestures with more attacks: "The situation on the Korean peninsula is inching closer to the brink of war due to the reckless plan of those trigger-happy elements to stage again war exercises targeted against the (North)."

If this sounds familiar, it's because the same thing happened after the Cheonan shipwreck. America sent some warships to join in naval exercises, China was outraged, and America yielded and moved the exercises primarily to a more distant location.

China wants peace. The only problem with Pax China is that it includes little protection for South Korea against the next surprise attack from Pyongyang.









U.S. to Send Aircraft Carrier Into Waters Off China for Drills

The U.S. will send a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier to South Korea’s west coast in the coming months for more joint drills that have sparked opposition from China.

“Part of the sequence of exercises that we conduct will be a return of the George Washington, including exercising in the Yellow Sea,” Pentagon spokesman Geoff Morrell told reporters yesterday in Washington, referring to the strip of water between the Korean peninsula and China. There will be more joint maneuvers over the “next several months,” both in the peninsula’s western and eastern waters, he said.

The USS George Washington took part in July 25-28 exercises off South Korea’s eastern coast designed to deter North Korea from further provocations after the communist country was accused of sinking the South Korean warship Cheonan in March. China says it is “firmly opposed” to any threatening foreign military activities near its shores as it resists a U.S. push to scale down China’s presence in the South China Sea.

Yep, this shows that the Iranians have had an enormous amount of patience. The only question is, what will be the straw that breaks the camel's back, and cause the Iranians to start the shooting war that the neocons have been itching to have for years?
