Iran Protests

  1. Curious to know what peoples insights are. Does this have potential for people to overthrow government?

Seems like the sort of place they will just open fire on any deviants...

I don't think they can do it unless the military supports the change just like Egypt. Maybe if a few of the other N. African countries topple the military in Iran might cave in.

Prince Reza thinks it is possible in Iran.

But, Egypt isn't done yet. So far, the military is solidifying their power and may just decide to stay in charge. The military leader at the top is a life long friend of Mubarak and probalby thinks the same way.

BTW, where has our buddy sameeh been the last day or two. Maybe he has been rounded up and put in jail.

Not in Iran. The government there is like the government in the USA. No way to overthrow it. A very strong and all powerful central government. The protests over the last election in Iran was proof of that.

  4. Overthrowing Iran depends on the loyalty of its police and military. Egypt's police was corrupt and the military didn't want to do anything. [IMG]

I don't personally see how the protestors can force the mullahs out.

The regime is now threatening to execute opposition leaders.

Look, everyone here has figured out you are just trolling while posing as an islamist. There is not a single person on ET who still believes it. Give it a break already.
