Israel presumably does not want this war to end already, in part for the same reasons Iran wants out, but they have to pretend like they do to be a good terms with Trump (hence "agreed to ceasefire" followed by newly planned attacks). They want a long term fix for the security problems posed by the Iranian regime, not to be threatened by nukes in a few years from now just so Trump could declare mission complete today.
Yeah. Although I have no idea how that is going to play out. My GF is from Iran and we're considering to bring her mother out due to uncertainty about the trajectory months out. I've noted though that because it's an external actor/perceived common threat, a lot of Iranians who are ordinarily against the regime are aligning with it in this matter - even if in other ways illogical. It's human nature, enemy of your enemy be damned.
Unfortunately, that might mean removing the Palestinians from the Gaza Strip. Then President Trump will convert the heavily bombed Gaza Strip to some high class seaside resorts.
Regime change in Iran means the end of Hamas, no more wepons, no more money, no more training. It means the end of Hezbollah as a military entity for the same reasons, and the Houthis. It should also be made clear in international law that proxy militaries are extensions of the nation providing them money, training and/or military supplies and thus liable for legal and military counter measures.
Yes, the military industrial complex feeds armies globally. However, they transact with governments and the US does not finance proxies today (the Contras were definitely a proxy "rebel" army).
Yes Khamenei's gotta go!! Bring back the Shah!! It's ridiculous that the rest of the world is living in the 21st century with AI performing surgeries and electric cars driving itself and Iran is still living in the 4th century.
