I heard some more about the Iranian leaders beliefs last night [ok, it was an "expert" on the George Noory show, taken with a grain of salt at best]. Apparently they are looking for the return of the 12th Imam. He went down a well in the 10th century and is to return only after they win a huge war!!
Well in the 1930's our army did not even have ammo to practice with. They would use bags of flower to simulate explosions, the overall size of the milatary was very small, its equiptment outdated and its soldiers not very well trained. Fast foward about 15 years and we defeated what looked like the most mighty milatary alliance in history.
