Good point. I didn't make myself clear. I didn't mean he is uninterrested in for. pol. I meant he displayed weakness.

  3. he is a typical diplomat...like Kerri....sometimes actions speak louder than words and sometimes action needs to be acted upon...or words mean nothing...it just happened on Bush's watch ...so he projected this to the public and congress acted...

I find many people overseas, very upset about this...as they could no longer fool us...

  4. you mean 'hand back' i guess, but lets not get lost in semantics... and what about jerusalem? whats wrong about giving part of it back to the palestinians? anyway, i dont really care, thats their mutual problem, except when they come and blow up people in our countries...

so this guy is not just making threats to keep oil prices high and put pressure on israel to shed its 'zionist' policies, thats not just the classical hardball negotiating tactic, he is actually intent on destroying not the 'zionist' state but israel itself as soon as he's got the gear, ie in 3 years or so?? mmmhhh, s.o. plse tell him, thats not smart... i mean if thats his real goal, he is not exactly increasing his chances by telling everybody like that is he???

but perhaps we should bomb him just in case... no?

  5. That was offered to Arafat in 2000 together with 98% of palestinian territory and compensation for the remaining 2%. I guess that was not good enough...

When your [crazy] neighbor publicly threatens to kill you and your children and you see him buying a gun... I guess you'd have to assume that if he really meant to kill your family he would not be openly talking about it in public, you therefore are safe and there is no reason to do something about your neighbor "just in case".

The reason why he keeps saying that Israel will be eliminated is because he wants to clear the way to create a nuclear bomb. He constantly raises the stake by stepping up his rhetorics in order to bring intentionally the international condemnation so Iran will be fully justified in the eyes of Iranian public to build a nuclear bomb in this hostile world.

  7. . yeah, can't remember the exact terms, from memory the bone of contention was the 'right of return', not a small problem... but yeah probably not arafat's best decision to reject that deal...

. appreciate the comeback... i'm not the one who says do nothing by the way, just that bombing seems to be america's natural response to everything lately, and that doesn't strike me as being any smarter than anything ahmadinejad says... and if my neighbour needs 3 years to go buy his gun honestly i am not exactly going to panic but hey, i'm not american....

. now let me make a few more friends... i just dug that up and that made me smile... http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/4510922.stm
particularly the horrified response from the ex-colonial powers, i mean, of course, who wants the hot potato?? :))))
thing is, the zionist thinkers even before 1900 did look at a few options as to where to establish the zionist state, even parts of africa were seriously considered, but thats pretty irrelevant now... anyway, going to bed now ;-) minna, oyasumi nasai!

Moussaoui told jurors that Islam requires Muslims to be the world's superpower as he flipped through a copy of the Koran searching for verses to support his assertions. One he cited requires non-Muslim nations to pay a tribute to Muslim countries.

"We have to be the superpower. You have to be subdued. We have to be above you," Moussaoui said.

methinks Iran is a distraction from China/Taiwan. Why the rhetoric now, Iran is dead meat anyway.
