of course, scapegoats for the masses, there is some truth to that... also, islamic countries for the most part are way behind in terms of economic development, and at first glance, kneeling in the middle of the street facing mecca 5 times a day is hardly gonna help... but putting things in perspective, a 100 years ago most of those countries were still colonies or protectorates, became 'independent' again after WW1 / WW2... the french, brits had a lot to do with whats happening in palestine / israel up to today... (the balfour declaration)... not saying they were wrong... there were hard choices to be made and they made them... anyway, looking ahead, for israelis & arabs to live in peace again, there'll need to be agreement on jerusalem as well... the 'roadmap' is a good thing... there is hope... beyond the inflammatory rethoric i really dont think iran is intent on firing a nuclear weapon any more than north korea is... i wouldnt put as much faith in bush...
Do we really know....What if you knew that a certain group was growing and would actually succeed in destroying your country. Now you are a Texan and people do not know you, but they have pre-conceived ideas for whatever social brainwashing they may have been exposed too.. So the popular belief might be since Bush has displayed preemptive actions that this would translate into "lets get them, before they get us" mentality as we have nothing to lose.. But do we really know and how could we post anything while we have soldiers in harms way? There are rooms of people in "think-tanks" advising the President..and they can only speculate...Some Presidents use this information and some do not....but the President is just a figure-head and does not decide anything. President Reagan played this to his advantage. Michael B.

I guess you should talk to his doctor. But I tought you understand this guy better than anyone else - the pain and anger he is going through. So I guess it was just rhetorical question since you know the answer better than anybody.
He got "regime change". They just had an election. The new regime wants to hand over land. So...oops! They must want more than regime change. They must want what they have been declaring at every turn.... the destruction of Israel.
Higher taxes, more transfer payments, and weakness on the international front. And the psychological phenomena known as "malaise". Hope that answers your question.
