    Iran used to be a normal, rich, progressive country until the Mullahs came to power by force and declared war on rest of the world. If the oil prices were not on a higher trend for last 5 years, Iran would be in a deep economic struggle and social chaos. Instead of building their nation with new oil revenues, they are picking fight with a Superpower. I cannot understand why Mullahs are so bent on fighting wars and provoking others to attack them and in the process putting the whole region into a state of fear and anxiety.

    Because for Mullahs politics & idealogy are above the economy & national wellbeing. They are no better than comminists & fascists.

    If you believe the conflicts posed by an Islamic fascist state developing nuclear arms is merely a petro economic issue, then you've got some real perception problems.

    Islamic sponsored terror has moved far beyond the borders of the Middle East. Do kidnappings/murders/bombings in geographically diverse locales like Chechnya, Indonesia, the Philippines, and largely non-Islamic Thailand have anything even remotely to do with Israeli occupation of Palestine or American oil policy? Clearly not. The use of force by fundamentalist Islamo fascists is global in scope, religious in nature and unstoppable through engagement of normal diplomatic dialogue.

    If there were no more Israel there'd be about seven million Jews trying to emigrate into the U.K. and America. Imagine the cost of that!

    You've got some real reading comprehension problems. Nowhere did I say that.

    It seems the staunch defenders of preemptive war have a penchant for making an argument where none exist.

    So what if Isreal has to think twice everytime they want to take out a few Palestinian families? I couldn't care less.

    Thats THEIR problem.

    Nukes will just keep both sides honest.

    OOooooohh yea. And its such a vast, pervasive threat to the entire global community.

    Americans have a better chance dying in a car wreck or getting hit by lightening than they do from a terror attack.

    Enjoy your new boogey man ;)

    WWIII is not being fought over Israel any more than WWII was over Czechoslovakia. Both just happened to be frontline states in a war against bestiality.

    Iran is all but asking to get bombed NOW. I do not believe the U.S. should oblige. "Revenge is a dish best served cold."

    I do not believe that Iran will attack Israel, or any other country, with nuclear weapons. However, a nuclear threat will once again push cowardly europeons in the U.S. camp. This time we should make them pay dearly for a nuclear umbrella.

    Here's what the U.S. should do:

    secure our borders;

    brace ourselves for nuclear terrorism;

    continue to develop our nuclear/chemical/biological arsenal, using Iran as a laboratory for testing bioweapons;

    develop alternative sources of energy so that when we finally annihilate Iran, et al, the price at the pump will not change much.

    How asinine. I can then extrapolate from statistical skews of past data that Americans have ZERO chance of dying in a nuclear holocaust. Therefore since it's never happened we all know it never will happen.

    FYI: 756 Americans were killed by lightning strikes between 1990 and 2003. During that period 4 U.S. airliners (at least, who knows about TWA Flight 800) were hijacked and crashed and the WTC was fatally hit twice in eight years at a loss of over 2800 lives. I could extrapolate going forward and argue that the chances of being killed by a terrorist is FAR greater than being killed by lighting. Therefore I suggest that you take your Muslim loving, Yank hating ass out into the next thunderstorm with a metal rod in tow.

    In the last forty years Muslims have killed at least 5,000,000 non Muslims in Africa and Asia. So if you think being a Christian in Sudan is safer than being a driver on the Dan Ryan......
