IQFeed vs Polygon.io

    They have a lot of servers. Server 148 crashed while I was connected with him last week.
    Technical support confirmed that to me. They told to restart and hope I would be connected to another server. I had over 50 reconnection failures. I managed to get connected.

    Today already almost 1 hour no way to connect. Technical support is crashing because probably many clients call them. So there is clearly a big problem.
    Restarting PC and hoping that you will get conneced to a server that is still working is not possible.

    I get the message "Unable to access the IP list"

    When you call technical support all you see is this:

    I think I remember having trouble maybe 1-2 times over the total of 5 years I've been using them. Zero problems this week. And logged on just now without any issues.

    So that's odd. Is it possible we're connecting through different servers if we're in different countries?

    I have an additional feed through Ninjatrader Continuum (CQG), so I have back-up there just in case.

    Yes, the servers are linked to some kind of geographical location.
    I also have a prepaid annual subscription so it cannot be a financial problem.

    Can you open chat with technical support? Probably not. Which proofs that it is not a problem from my side. Everything works and I can reach any website.

    I would use the support@iqfeed.net email address for a more quick response. I just got here today and it appears there is an issue with our EOC servers and website. If you make sure the IQ Client is completely closed out in your system tray. In some cases the best thing to do is a full restart of your PC.

    When the client has fully shut off and come back on it should have no problem connecting to our backup servers on the NOC or 156 server which I was successful in doing this morning when I got her at 6:30am CDT.

    Friday the problems started again. I am fed up with this.
    Changed data provider and will cancel my IQfeed annual subscription.
