Longhorns - Just wanted to make sure you are aware IPII is scheduled to release earnings tomorrow. I nibbled on some PEC at 9.28 for a different hurricane play.
Do You have a neg vibe TD on IPII earnings...I think they already lowered the bar, I'm in and underwater from $9 something should I swap into PEC? ~ stoney
No - no negative vibe. I just wouldn't take on a new position today for a hurricane play. If it were me, I'd wait until after earnings release. Who knows - they could guide up and he'll be fine. I just was doing the friendly thing and bringing it to his attention. As far as PEC goes, they have a larger geographic base to be served by a hurricane whereas IPII is basically just in Florida. I don't have any IPII right now, but am keeping my eye on it. Nice volume today, it just may be back in play.
Thank for the heads up TD. It's a small position for now. Let's hope it has decent earnings and guidance.
Well guys this is exciting I'm in a very small plane right now, what is this? Cessna? I think it's a Cessna, I'm actually using shit, fuck. I'm cut! Sorry I'm using my new voice transcribing software and just speaking into the computer because the ride may get bumpy. I'm in the Gulf of Mexico/NW Caribbean Sea right now. I can see the storm guys it It seems to be a weak and disorganized area of low pressure that has developed in the SE Gulf and it is possible that it could develop further. Can we go any lower? Lower. Down. Geez. This is really poorly organized the storm I mean I don't know this doesn't look good for Imperial Industries. As you all probably know by now, we have our 4th tropical depression of the hurricane season. It is located way out in the east Atlantic and moving westward very quickly. We are meeting up with a Navy plane for refueling in flight and heading out to intercept it. A strong area of high pressure to its north is exerting a lot of push on the depression as it slowly organizes. This should keep the depression, soon to be storm, moving steadily off to the west. There are some indications now that the tropical cyclone will slow down and turn more northerly off that due west track (even south of due west). The islands of the Lesser Antilles need to be ready in case this comes through. All indications are that this will eventually become our first hurricane. I have used my advanced software to track the direction of the storm and all I can say is LOOK OUT ATLANTA! ~ stoney signing out somewhere over the Atlantic. God bless. Whoa! what was that? That! That smells! What? An Egg diet? What the hell, only eggs?... stoney signing out with a pilot who only eats eggs.
I take it they missed... Down $1.00 pre market. From the press release... "The second quarter and six month 2007 results reflect the continuing decline in demand for our products, due to the significant decrease in new residential construction activity in Florida, which is our primary trade area."
