This idea is so retarded and sketcky. guy has 4 friends on facebook for his fundme page (red flag) on top of outrageous costs for a iphone app. i contacted a app developer and asked how much to get something like this done; guy said $15,000. funny how OP claims hes a developer and does not understand most touch screen smart phones already have a API function that tells u amt of pressure being exerted on screen.. but for some fucking reason its going to cost $800k+ and require DNA testing
Actually, it's already done and will be available in some vehicles starting 2015 model yr. The guy's so far behind the curve it's ridiculous. There are private elevators and office doors that use this system.
you are missing the mark. The point is to make it available to anybody with a cell phone not in some private elevators.
What's the difference between these screens and a cell phone screen? http://www.bing.com/images/search?q...t=fingerprint+reading+entry+systems&FORM=IGRE
HP already holds a patent to this. http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c00958213
Unfortunately finger print security is not very secure. Mythbuster's easily defeated them: http://blogs.technet.com/b/steriley/archive/2006/09/20/457845.aspx
