Investing in stock market indices via option spreads beats buffet?

  1. I said I don't buy straddles for directional trades , I buy straddles for volatility breakouts (underpriced straddles).Market can not price in unexpected in straddles , since the unexpected is known to the best option traders:(:(

Markets are constantly in a state of uncertainty and flux, and money is made by discounting the obvious and betting on the unexpected.GEORGE SORROS real trader

Forum goon "money is made by betting on the expected " in an efficient market

@TRADING EDUCATION BUYER you're bashing guys that make a decent contribution to this site by arrogantly talking gibberish and saying all forums are shit and nobody should listen... :finger:

or maybe I'm just not good at gibberish... but that's what I get from your posts...

Well there's nothing clearly about what you say... what are you saying? I still don't get your deal... are you here to just sprout crap?

I don't even get this whole thread... what is your aim? Buy spreads or sell? Do you want info, is your thread title an actual question? Are you making a statement? Are you trying to see how long you can stay on before you get banned? Are you here to just throw some meaningless random index charts around?

  4. ...He comes across as an angry, bitter, sarcastic, jaded, maybe failed trader, sexually frusterated guy -- kind of reminds me of fellow past ET'ers: TradeCat and MarketSurfer. o_O:banghead:

  5. investing means buying , who said anything about selling ?It would be quite clear if you are a option trader

In the 1st and 4 th post , it is clear.

would investing stock market indices call spreads offer returns greater than investing in stock market?

ever done any anylysis /back tests on buying calls on spx/djia/nasdaq weekly/monthly , at a support after oversold /fall and selling at the same time sell a call at the money on weekly /monthly?selly weekly and or monthly call spreads

let the above options expire , and when you have losses , after 2 weeks losses buy an extra call spread

So I suspect your posts are more from from admin poster than a trader , so why not just say , BANNED MEMBER CAUSE CONFLICT WITH SPONSOR INTERESTS =POSITIVITY CREATION BARON INTEREST TEAM

Why would this thread conflict with sponsors? see... you don't make any sense at all! In none of you posts in any of the threads... it's like reading a train wreck

EDIT.. Ah, I get it... you think Warren Buffet is a sponsor! ;)

  9. If I was a sponsor , I would get Baron to wreck this thread and close it.On the other hand , good content creates demand for similar products , it gives a healthy vibrant community and positivity. The sponsor might have a better version of this type of trade , but don't fear :p

If you want to claim to "beat Buffet" you need to show that you achieved a higher return with a lower risk, not simply that you had higher returns. Any jackass can throw together an options "strategy" that will give a higher return than Buffet, that's absolutely meaningless. I'd recommend the OP read up on the concept of risk adjusted return and then get back to us.
