Will PT achieve his goal of 3% per week using $15k of starting capital?

  1. Yes. 3% per week is definitely doable.

  1. Yikes! Got caught up in some chop today. Scratched the 1st trade and caught +10 and +20 on the 2nd trade. I consider myself lucky I grabbed some points in this account today.

    If I'm reading my daily chart correctly, we've had two narrow range days so we may see some movement tomorrow. ie momentum break of yesterday's high or low.

    I'll look to enter on retracements after a break either way.

    I would give you 100k if you could make 3% each week for the whole year on a six figure account.

    You ET bs'ers never fail to amaze me. 20-30 ES points a day, get real bro.

  4. i think people that nit-pick are "A-holes." having said that, i'd "zero out" the vacation weeks - psycholoigically its looks better than the -3% in RED

    Good job with the chop.

  7. Chill "bro"--life's too short to be this angry. I'm assuming the author meant 2-3 ES points.

    As far as the "3%", I confess, I probably should have used a different title. The 3% was just the result of the trading plan I conjured up and was NEVER the goal. My bad.

    The plan was to open an account with $15K and earn an avg 50YM/5ES points per week for the sole purpose of earning supplemental income. If I achieve my goal, great! If not, I'd be happy with a positive return--regardless of the percentage.

    Hope this helps!

  8. Yeah I know. I thought about it. But the reality is the account sat idle with no gains (or loses ;-) and I want the spreadsheet to reflect the actual gains/losses in the account.

    I just try to stay focused on the specific task of looking for opportunities to earn 10YM pts each day and try not to pay any attention to the results of past weeks.

  10. Choppy day; Very low volume; No trades today;

    There was a minor break around 3:30pm but I didn't take it. Hats off to those who made $$$ today!
