I will get to it, of course. All the IA gauges are built to give a strong intuitive feeling of what is going to happen next! Once I reveal all the components it should be self-evident what to expect next. That is the power of IA!

Great research for sure! There was a time, when charts changed market analysis. Who knows, maybe IA change the industry just as much.

  5. So you are saying that intuition is better or worse ? a PC could of seen the arrow if it was in the parameters.

As did a memeber, They are equale.

Another member may not have seen it.

The one that does not see it is incapable to make a PC see it.

So what are you comparing intuition with ? it is not a PC

Math? well the only math that one can use is that of which one knows.

non intuition is limited by what is known and where intuition guides one.
Intuition in turn is limited by what non intuition knowns.

Can we not replace the word intuition with laziness? or a need to react fast and make estimates that are terrible but enough to cause a reaction of an out come A or B where A and B are both better then pulling out a calculator to see how fast you should run from a lion ?

Some have learnt that lions are actually scared of calculators. and now have no worries

"...the formal system that underlies all mental activity transcends the system that supports it" from Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid.

Your writings bring back memories from a book I read 20 years ago... and never thought of since. It's still in my bookshelf, perhaps it is time to re-read it and see if I like it better now.

    Please continue...

  7. Jack, as you know I invited surf and yourself to a fun kinda competitive trade off where we take a student or trade ourselves (surf only has an intern) to show how to make a $1,000,000 profit from $10,000 in a 12 month period. Real money down and a full audit from a top 5 international accountancy.

Surf is afraid of photoshopping so I said he can pick the accountancy practice and auditor (can even be a friend of his) and look over one-broker statements so he knows there's no tricks. He can even try to reverse engineer if he wants.

Unfortunately surf's says he doesn't have to prove his Price Drivers to me or anyone else and put me on ignore. I'm still going through the grieving process because I feel like I have lost my right arm when surf has me on ignore.

So it's down to you and me Jack. I understand what you said about the difficulty getting anyone to differentiate their minds as it's one of the 1st roadblocks I need to demolish. I'm not clear on your last post here... Do you have someone who wants to have a go at using STC to demonstrate how their best attempt at X6 the ATR looks like?

I am a wee bit ahead as we have a full 4 weeks completed and after a disaster of a first week due to beginners mistakes we got back on track, committed to the rules and the newbie has now over $30k in his account from a $10K start. Performance wise he's way ahead of the schedule so the end goal looks like a slam dunk.

Now are you up for this or do you have a newbie or even an experienced SCT'er who wants to show ET that TA really works? I wasn't clear from your last reply if you're up for this? Really I was hoping for a 3-way race to the top but somehow surf's confidence in the superiority of his PD's seems to have evaporated and that was before his last stop out. You gotta have a few STC'ers by now that are mad keen to strut their stuff?

  8. I'd give it a shot,but I know I'd fail with SCT.Jack greedy,selfish bastard who plays God with vets.

  9. BTW,rest assured,SCT does produce multiple ATR,only it has some real flaws wich I was trapped into, several times.Well, lets say it "flaws", to me.

  10. I'm asking myself if I am certain I understand. For example, can this be applied directly to manufacturing efficiency? Or, how does it relate to trading? In trading are you saying there is a trade off between certainty and opportunity in that the more we demand perfection we can be more likely to end up with less chance for profit, whereas a higher risk profile gives more space for intuition to make the difference?

I was invited to see round a plastic film manufacturing operation and the film was rolled from the extruder up into the air for about 15' while jets of air were blown on to it to cool the film before taking it back down and into the final roll.

They were working in accordance with what they saw as the most efficient practice but it seemed intuitive to me that if inlet sucking in room temperature air was replaced with chilled air from a portable a/c that the machine could run faster. They had never thought of that so long story short we got a portable a/c connected and production went up by a huge percentage.

Perhaps it was because I was not encumbered by all the rigid ideas of how things must be done that allowed me think outside of the box.
