I of course, could be wrong and it is just my subjective opinion, but using gauges based on IAs is by far more natural for traders than charts. The results seemed to be better too. Of course, I understand that markets like chess – there are unlimited number of possible winning games. Some people are happy and very successful with charts. I am happy for them and wish them well. However, I believe in different approach to trading. As I said at the beginning of this thread – I am not here to convince anybody, to fight or to put the stake in the ground or even prove anything. I am here to share my alternative point of view. If it helps then I am glad; if it does not - I would not even argue. It is very subjective. Lots of people are interested in trying, so I will do my best to give them this ability, but I will never state that this IS THE ONLY WAY TO TRADE. Of course it is not!
Thank you for your comments, I enjoy reading them!

Thanks. :)

I absolutely agree there is no single "correct" approach. And believe any trader who is deliberate in this profession should keep the mind open for all opportunities to improve. Some time ago there were no charts too, just "the tape". So probably some day people look at charts with the same feeling "ahh, how could they trade from that impossibly inefficient tool".

Your comments are extremely valid and they are 100% true! At the beginning all the traders use both, charts and gauges. But after 30 to 60 days, when they are 100% comfortable, I remove the charts. If their performance increases then I remove them permanently. If not then I suggest to them to go back to charts. It only works for about 40% of all the traders because the change is so dramatic; however, the ones who do get it perform multiple folds better. Also, successful IA traders will lose their performance if they include charts after they got accustom to gauges. So, you are 100% correct. It is not for everybody at all. It seems to me that only specific type of traders will benefit from them, but those who do take this game to a totally new level. Yes, gamers and fighter pilots do very well with IA gauges based system and analysts and TA gurus seems to have difficulties to trust them.
Like anything else – it is not universal and it is not the HOLY GRAIL at all. But it is way more entertaining and exciting to me!

One of the areas of my IA research involves sensory substitution devices (SSDs) that could be used to convert visual images into music. My earlier experiments employ pleasant musical tones and scales to represent better current market information. The algorithm uses different musical instruments for each of the five colors: white (high pitch vocals), blue (saxophone), red (dramatic organ), green (violin), yellow (violin); Black is represented by white noise. The notes to compose each octave were carefully chosen to create pleasantly sounding arpeggios. So far it is hard to say what the results would be when we will be ready to test this idea with real traders.

6. Is there are relationship between Xspurt and Hershey's Arizona group or any Hershey group? My linguistic pattern skills detect similarities in the prose and word useage

7. I guess then your linguistic pattern skills must be as well developed as your Price Driver skills. The last word is usage btw

Are you up for the challenge? :D

8. Now I can't match surf's performance, or so it seems as he tells everyone that TA is dead and surf has price drivers that act ahead of price. I know what a quant can do and what a quant struggles with so I have a rather different opinion about surf's ability to look ahead and I have demonstrated it on surf's thread, but I can't debate the man's confidence in PD's and that TA doesn't work. So surf, let's apply the same test to PD's except you don't need to mentor anyone. All you have to do is show audited accounts for a 12 month period proving PD's beat the hell out of my student's stupid TA. Otherwise I'd consider your Anti TA-Amazing PD's Crusade a bit of a inversion of Jack's claims. It should be easy for PD's that see the future before anything appears on a chart to beat me to turning $10,000 into $1,000,000+

Please----You are the one called XSPURT-- where are your records? Most of my trades, win, lose, break even have been posted on the surf report since 2002 BEFORE THE FACT< IN AS REAL TIME AS POSSIBLE--- If you care, you could figure it out, but I am not spoon feeding you because I don't care enough.

10. Are you up for you? If not, why not? I make no claims or promises--- see the surf report since 2002 if anyone has any doubts or cares.
