Intuition Amplifiers 2

  1. Hence your well-justified pride in your emphatic big red down arrow. Would your ideal trading workspace have no charts at all in it, just instantly recognizable icons like a stopsign or a yield sign or a rad-hazard sign or a mens room sign? Actually, I am with you on this to some extent because all twelve of my indicators are in stoplight form or slight variants thereof.

For example, if volatoilety is low, would you have a commode on your workspace?

BTW, don't feel that you have to respond to me just to be nice. Nobody else here is. But it may say something about your thesis if I am the only one actively responding. As we say in NLP, "The meaning of your communication is the response you get." Or perhaps the responder.

BINGO! It is exactly what I suggest: - NO CHARTS!! NO CHARTS AT ALL! Charts are evil and misleading! They only show you what had happened in the past. Try to drive your car by only looking in to your rear view mirror! Not so easy, isn’t it? My intuition amplifiers only use shapes colors, images and NO NUMBERS or CHARTS! I firmly believe that our visual cortex is completely “noised” out by the charts that show history. We cannot see the reference points anymore and cannot assess the most important information because our minds are polluted.

  3. BRAVO, BRAVO!!!! Charts are why traders just don't "get it". Charts are very deceitful and treacherous--- this is why FX dealers who make money when you lose, push chart based TA, because it doesn't work while at the same time appears to be very seductive. It has sucked in many here on elite trader.

Folks who claim to read charts, in real time, to make decisions, are either deluded, deliberately lying about their success, or have unknown psychic powers that have nothing to do with the chart. surf

I am not trying to be nice at all. I am a psychologist with 30 years of experience. To me every person is a universe; it is only your desire to explore it limits your ability to be fascinated by it. I enjoy all kinds of people and honestly and sincerely respect all points of view. I am old enough, secure and comfortable with whom I am. I do not need to prove anything to anybody and I do not need to impress with bullshit. I enjoy sharing and discussing things that matter to me; things that I am fascinated by. That is all. Please continue to post. I enjoy it.

That's an interesting theory. But how to deal with the fact others likely still perceive past as reference points and those levels thus become important?

Past is one of the reference points. The problem is how it is presented to an observer. Charts warp the space in such matter that reference points become much skewed! As I mentioned before, I always suggest presenting the reference points (history included) in a form of a dynamic, adaptive trajectory in the event-time space. And visualize this trajectory through the aid of natively recognized shapes and images.

Got it! So you suggest using various inputs, including the past, but present them in a more natural way for humans to perceive?

constantly working on having as many pertinent charts and major down to minor s/r areas mapped out and the ability to funnel them into a long or short bias as they work in unison, those are the layups, your study is of interest if it discovers a way to more easily manage the info, that collective info is the undefined intuition, like an oncoming car you barely see out of your peripheral vision,or a barely audible sound that triggers a reaction

  9. Well, everyone's charts and even data feeds are different, particularly charts-- therefore, your argument isn't relevant.
