You,the scientific people, will never learn...There is no science on Earth, that could predict the future with the certainty, nada. All the scientific studies are only theories. As with Chemistry, you can take the pieces and create the medicament, but all you can do with it is to only heal and not cue.I hope you know, that all known diseases are incureable?Same with the trading. You cant predict anything, the example with Newtonian physics is not sufficent for that matter.Market is a living organism, and you can know its mass and velocity only at this particulr time, not for the future.Inertia can be stopped in a second or in an hour. You are in a very risky business relying on inertia. It`s NOT predictable.
The variety and subtlety of unnoticed influences that one can find in published psychological books and papers is impressive: Some of them that are published by Professor David G. Myers are below. ⢠One experiment subliminally flashed emotionally positive scenes (such as kittens or a romantic couple) or negative scenes (such as a werewolf or a dead body) an instant before participants viewed slides of people. Although the participants consciously perceived only a flash of light, they gave more positive ratings to people whose photos had been associated with the positive scenes. People somehow looked nicer if their photo immediately followed unperceived kittens rather than an unperceived werewolf. ⢠Chinese characters, too, seem to imply something nicer if preceded by a flashed but unperceived smiling face rather than a scowling face. ⢠Graduate students evaluate their research ideas more negatively shortly after viewing the unperceived scowling face of their adviser-as if a sense of the adviser's disapproval was lurking in the unconscious mind. ⢠When shown subliminal pictures of spiders and then subjected to electric shocks, some students-those good at guessing their heart rates-could predict the impending shock. Although they never consciously saw the spider, these in-tune-with-their-body students had a gut feeling. The conclusion is very powerful: We intuitively know what we do not know we know!
Well, please allow us, scientific people, to continue our journey then. We enjoy it. It was not my intention at all to change anybody's beliefs or ways of perceiving the reality. I simply offered my points of view and do not expect anything in return. I also do not really care whether somebody accepts them or not. It is important to me to share my findings and that is all it matters.
We are just talking, aren`t we?You have your points, and i have mine. What is wrong with that?I thought it was a public discussion.Or did you start it for yourself only?
Absolutely nothing! I actually enjoy your posts and welcome your comments. When I say "please let us continue our journey" I meant continuation of our scientific efforts, not the posting. Sorry if I wasn't clear. Please continue to post. All points of view are important!
MAESTRO, I know you have mentioned linear and logarithmic time: have you done any research on space time and how it affects the markets rather than just 2D?
Thank you, sir. I`d suggest to continue to put your scientific efforts towards the Impuls and the changes in Impuls, rather then to Inertia. It woul be more productive.Just as i see it. Will follow this thread,to see how it developes...
Yes, I have done lots of research in this area. My best results came when the time was converted from the static scale (linear, logarithmic, parabolic etc.) to the even driven time. It actually changed the perception of the market events significantly. As in relativity theory rather than looking at separate events that occurred in time we should look at the event-time space and create the trajectory in this domain. The most promising results were obtained by using energy formulas such as mv^2/2. Where âmâ is the aggregate volume and velocity (âvâ) is the price difference in the unit of time. There are many other event configurations. Some of them involve bid/ask/size/time space and some use frequencies of the events as their scale factor.
That is a very good suggestion. If I may point out just one thing though. Impulse equals Inertia divided by time. That is exactly what I focus on. Impulse is an event in energy distribution and inertia is one of the characteristics of energy. Potential, kinetic and other types of energy all are part of the notion of inertia and studying the time distribution of energies is indeed the most fruitful subject!
