What sorts of platforms do pople use for trading equities? I had been playing with ninjatrader for trading futures, although it is so slow to load charts and just seems a little 'buggy' and freezes etc. I cant imagine trading lots of stock symbols intraday with them It doesn't compare with actual 'stock trading' platforms that i've played with such as INSTSTAQUOTE and DAS TRADER PRO. These platforms feel so very fast and can load a chart in a split second etc. However, you cant make custom indicators with these programs. (not that i can code unfortunately) Are there platforms out there that have the best of both worlds? What i want to do is convert some of my custom indicators from ninjatrader language into the language of a fast daytrading platform like the ones mentioned above. I've never used it, but maybe tradestation is the sort of thing im talking about? Also, would it be possible to have a program/cpde that scans my watchlist and then alerts me when one of my custom indicator setups is triggered in one of the stocks in the watchlist, so that i could then click on the stock and consider trading it?? How difficult of a task would that be?
