Yea I do, but way less recently for two reasons: Euro makes very good profit lately and I feel that focus on one instrument is better for performance... And I observe that US session as a rule is really way more tricky than Asian session... I somewhere read that mentality of different market participants is different and really influences on instrument behaviour very much.
Nah, pull up the JY, BP and CD while you're at it ... some sweet moves in those babies too with relative similar tick increments to the US equivalents (NQ, YM, et. al., we're talking all CMEGroup here) ... I find that all of the overnight markets are just more orderly in a consistent fashion than the US day session ... and everyone in the US wants to quit their day job to be daytraders, LOL. Mandelbrot, Haha, yeah agree that US day session is prolly the most tricky trading time across all markets... But US people simply have no choice - either lead an owl-like lifestyle or trade US session... Maybe I should really use my timezone more effectively and take Asian + European sessions instead of European + US... At least now looking at past months PA it's looking like a reasonable move... Of course with exclusions when price has so nice moves that even US traders can't spoil them to noise...
somebody woke up for the first time I really saw the setup move across the time-frames, shorted at 5908 and covered with a little luck at 5866, I guess it was because we broke the trendline on the hourly ...
I trade the 1st 3 hrs of the ES and try to go to bed then. Sometimes get up and hit something. Find ES boring but a good discipline. Like Mandle says, don't find any difference trading any Fx market. Yea was wondering myself what that pop was as I don't know when any news releases are. I just trade what I see and I'm always in before the release. Superb trendline on 2 min and B/o of 5 min triangle let me get 1 min hi but I'm just running on 3 charts on one monitor. Need to resize everything for 4 X 22"instead of my travel set-up (widescreen laptop and 17" 2nd monitor) and want to collect various ideas I've been working on so today is going to be "fun".
Yes yoohoo, I blame myself for not taking that textbook triangle BO after 3 tests and after pretty clear signs of reversal down on hourly...
I think I'll do the same - wake up earlier and finish when Europeans finish (after about 3 hours of US session open)...
