22's are fine - I use 8 of them (plus 2x17 & 1x8). Using 1X19 + 3X22 shouldn't be a problem provided your software allows you to save a workspace that is not a standard size rectangle, and most S/w would allow for that.
Excellent thank you Yoohoo, i'll use all those spare 17" on the second tower, that way i can display the FDAX multiple TF's
LOL good one.. I would go for 3 x 24, in that case you could get 5700 x 1200, should enough for a single instrustment ; but I can't. The mobo's chip can run 1900 x 1200 but not other wide format, my matrox can only do 4:3, at quad output only 1280 x 1024, and PCI-E nVidia cards crash my desktop Will go for 5 x 17" after I move, but that's not enough to get a tan
I had same problem when i tried to use PCI NVIDIA on an AMD ATHLON system, but it runs fine on INTEL, or is it the motherboards? or something else?
G200 Will as you know nothing real fancy is needed for charts and they're so cheap i've got a few of both lying around.
Baron, i am using the G200MMS too.. couldn't select the resolution for 16:10 in windows, but the user manual show 16:10 resolution. You got them going on wide monitors?
Sorry Will i fell asleep, lol no i haven't used the AMD (trading only pc) with Matrox on wides, am running wide on the INTEL NVIDIA card, so i'll swap PC's ,after a decent scrub ( the INTEL one has been doing all the browsing) and run the wide's and do purely trading on the desktops, then use an old laptop i have for browsing only...that should do it... I have read somewhere that the best trading PC set up is to not have an antivirus or firewall, that slows things down, and only enable the certain ports you need to communicate, but i don't know how to do it yet, nor am i sure it's the way to go, let me know if any of you are savvy on that idea. Have a good weekend all.
