CF, what would really be usefull to me is if you would post an overview of your all your trades of a particular day in the evening. Just got to be one day, maybe today ? Like this I could go over them and study them all and improve my own trading by learning to better get in and get out. I'm still a bit struggling with the 1 min timeframe. It's improving, getting better than it was yesterday, but still needs to get much better. This might be a real help. Hope I'm not asking too much here ...
ok guys I'm off travelling for about two weeks and will catch up sometime after that. Good trading all.
Good travels yoohoo. Will be interested to see your annotated chart, CF. I'm done for this week, tonight was a wash as I didn't stay in my longs enough, kept on getting out after a few pips profit, and then got stopped out a couple of times shorting against the trend. Some things for me to review on the weekend, still ended the week up so not so bad for this stage in the learning curve. cheers
Here is a squashed 1min chart of most part of Friday... I marked entries with arrows. Reasons to take the trade are usual: you watch multiple TF support/resistance levels, CCI patterns (I look for an overall shape of the indicator curves and hooks rather than a fixed amount of named patterns) and volume clues on the futures chart.... I intentionally didn't exactly described every trade, cause it would be harmful to people who are learning this stuff and would fall in the trap of too mechanically following the entries technique.... And it DOES NOT work this way. It is rather subjective approach which requires a lot of screen time and an eye trained to recognize trading opportunities. Better to say, it's objective but it's a sport kind of trading, not a mechanical system.... Hope it helps... P. S. As for sport - all the city is celebrating, a lot of "gooooooaaaaal" screams have waken me up near 4AM today when we hit a second and a third goal in the gate of Holland...
