OK, feel better now, seems like peak of the flu is gone. Choppy action today in the morning, didn't trade it, cause slept for a long time today, but noticed how pivots can help to put some money in the pocket even in such an environment. Action is exactly between PP's which can be a hefty profit for a trader trading them.
you stuck to your rules and took a profit and that was great. You saw the hourly triangel and minute channel and that was good. Where you went wrong was the triangle - the breakout was going to have energy so you missed the big move. No matter, you are learning to look at the hourly - just got to learn it's uses. FWIW, it was tricky. I almost pulled out too, but there is a time element. You're used to seeing things react fairly quickly on the 1 min. On a bigger timeframe it can pause at the resistance and then run. I used the 5 min to keep me in - thought it was not finished on time and saw the breakout on the hourly chart as a strong possibility. You had pips in the bag and this was one you could have accepted the risk on without any pain. Watch your big breakouts and the shakeout before the move. They shook you out
Hi, CF, it's not so clear how you played this to me. I personally went long at 1.57125 when it made new highs and saw a triangle on the hourly chart broken, and I sold at 1.5725 which according to me was a pp, way too early if I look now ... Apperently you played this a little different, maybe you could explain a bit more in detail. Just trying to learn ...
the comments of yoohoo explained some things allready now. yoohoo, were did you get out ? Did you use the 1 min channel ?
Yoohoo, Yeah those pre-BO games always get me out. Need to learn them to see where are games and where true reversal.
cv: yoohoo described what I did pretty well. Indeed base of my methodology is channels. Just I watch not only bigger, but small channels as well. P. S. Long @ 26, as PA reacted to PP, stop moved to below it now.
