Yoohoo, that daily trendline chart you showed is the same as what I look at,what I draw....and so I saw weeks ago that the PA was heading in this direction..... I had plotted all the key points of convergence....the low here at 15360 was expected....and had the news announcement been made to catapult the euro back up.....there could have been a further plunge (i suspect) down to the 15280 s/r point....and then following the lower channels thru the summer down toward as low as 148. summertime can still be in the 154/152/150 area...... but every day adds to the unfoldment of trendline construction.
I feel you are also correct Gwac about the importance of news as a trigger blast..... my sense of understanding the teachings of Yoohoo, (as a student, and new to forex as well) is that his understand of how to play the game is ..... as close to perfect as you can get..... thats how I would put it..... and every day, as I examine it and learn more on my own....I see the truth of it.
but ...since there are many styles of successful trading....banjo's is another style it appears....and I'm looking to learn everything....and (i love that analogy) Bake the cake in 2 minutes ...!! (great ,banjo)
and Ive now come to realize I cant learn fast enough to be ready to trade successfully. I wish I could.
Probably the fastest way for me to get good enough is to do....Nothing..... but read and re-read this whole journal....over and over ....until I really get it.
so far.....I made it up to page....get this.....73.... and now I only have 4hundred and 40 something more pages to catch up here.
I dont know which is worse now.....losing beginners money trading....or studying this whole freakin journal. I know I have a lot of work ahead studying.

what else was I gonna say.......oh ! yes...!! Yoohoo......if you would give me 18 hours a day of your teaching time......!!!! wow ! would you do that for me? ..I ACCEPT . and I'm claiming it right now folks. I'm FIRST in line. !! right now. I accept. you cant take it back now Yoohoo.

    I'm next ,after CF.
dont be a welcher on your offer.

here's my signature on the contract.....

    Thomas A. B@&^$26%#$^@*^&
    ....( signature placed on file)

and thats for up to and including 18 hours
    per day.

I may not use all 18 in a day...it may be only an hour here or there.
I will be anticipating redemption coupons in the mail
or else we can set up an online account.
I understand the cost is free , which is a decent bargain. and
    the offer cannot be retracted........(lol)
you made a big mistake buddy with this offer..... I got in line first. and I'm capturing this screen shot to prove it...... no wait, I dont have screen capture anymore, damn it.... well, I have witnesses. ok. (smiles) I'm ready.

Guys ,I just wanted to add this thought about today...since its a pet idea of mine (as an astrologer) Today is the new moon.... the last one was may 5. the feb 7 bottom(you see is an important trendline point) ...was a new moon Eclipse ...(something that happens only once a year or so...very significant...If moon time means anything at all.... the idea is to see if it does mean anything...and today would represent the new beginning energy that has some effect on the coming month. if you examine how the may 5 day (OHLC) 'fits in' to the grand picture.... today will be the next piece of the puzzle.
Can you 'feel' the 'new energy' of today's session ?
maybe it connects in with elliot wave, or wave /lines....trend movement....creating a new direction of sorts. could this mean the 15360 bottom will be the main bottom for a while? like march 22,or feb 7 , or aug 15(07)..... well, I'm curious to see if I can eventually figure it out. I know theres another forum on 'Trading the Moon' somewhere.....but I hav hardly enough time reading CF's journal, which is my main study guide .
It all takes so much time. Thank god, yoohoo will be giving me 18 hours a day...... thats pretty generous, Y.... I'll only hold you to ..... ...lets say....18 emails a day. that will work.
    great.
    thanks again

..............and ,Once Again ...!! I knew the big plunges and blast offs were coming.....and I was asleep in california when it took place.
!!!?? How do I solve that problem,Yoohoo? I'm missing the big moves because I live in california. I sit for 10 hours while the energy builds up....then I have to go to bed, falling asleep at the computer, I go to bed, and wake up to see I missed hundreds of pips pouring out of the ATM I was standing at for 10 hours. !!!!!

does a trader have to learn how to be comfortable setting trades with a 'limit order'...and go to bed without having nightmares?

A reminder everyone. Payroll tomorrow at 8:30 est. This is a big number and will move the market.

As I expressed in my post, the market continued upward this afternoon. I would expect some sort of profit taking ahead of tomorrow numbers maybe back to the 1.5535 area where the market spent a couple of hours this morning.

If we get a weak number anywhere below - 25k jobs
this will allow the euro bears to continue upwards. Anything positive should help the dollar.

Stocks are indicating a turning point and ignoring the bad news (ambac and mbia), i expect this should start to happen to the dollar.

Having a position into tomorrows number is gambling and
should not be done, gap could be 100 point either side.

thanks G.... 830 est would be 530 am in california for me.... thats helpful.... Ive been spot on target lately in my trendline analysis....and waiting for the big moves (which came as I expected) but Ive been asleep at those times.
I knew that the new moon day would find euro around 15530 area...... I just didnt know 'how' it would get there. what do you look for in tomorrows move? can you give me a better idea ...(I'm a new student/advanced beginner) with an experts mind,.... I havent studied the charts yet today so I cant elaborate...... you say if the news is worse for the dollar euro goes up and if the news is better than expected euro goes down....I get that much... and youre talking about the non farm payroll?? or something else. ....Geez....I gotta get a basic schedual....its ridiculous not to have it handy. its like not having a clock to look at..... sometimes its amazing how a new student can be so driven to learn all the deepest concepts that they forget to do the simplest things....like a clock? or a news schedual.....Ive been trading my ass off and I wake up and not even know what day it is!?! ..... I'm serious. I can tell you what the euro's price was at 11 pm last night by memory....but I cant tell you now what day it is....
I hope somebody can appreciate what gyrations are going thru my mind in all this study.....lol

I will look at my trendline construction to see where the convergence points are. (my creative system) .... how would someone know what the news report is when it comes out....can you post it here? or where can I go to see it as it happens?
at the least....it looks like the main idea is to Be Ready for a big jump in some direction ....at 830 am...in new york (530 am in california..... guess I'll go to bed early tonite.

this would be interesting for me....a new step in development.
I know that sounds lame...like I'm just discovering the significance of news....duh..... but it will be the first time...I'm beginning to put big pieces of the puzzle together.... I'm getting the PA skills down, trendline analysis down, CCI analysis down, learning to see the different time frames , including the 1 minute being taught here.... and now, the news focus..... this is perfect education...... good post. thank you.

G ...the number for payroll youre looking for is 25 k ....as a balance point?
what would you be looking for as a strong # for a dollar recovery....and conversely , what, if its possible to estimate well, would be the # to look for to see a strong euro go higher?
is it possible to gague it this way? the extend of a Price movement? do you fine tune this vision? to get a sharp idea of how strong the influence would be? or do you just use the # in a basic way as in above 25k is strong dollar ( look to sell euro) and below 25k is weak dollar (look to buy euro) and ...
if its around 25 k...would that be portending a steady (neither up nor down movement) influence ?
    thanks for your thoughts....

  8. Ah Grasshopper, you misunderstand. Everything CF got you got too and it's in the thread. You need to study it in detail and learn each facet by spending every spare hour you can afford (without sacrificing family) in study. You try too many ideas to run alongside mine and end up thinking you understand but then you are not reading the 1 hr. Instead you read your TL's and predict the direction but can't make a profit.

It's too early to mix your ideas and mine. I spent 18+ hrs a day so luck plays no part in what I do. If you apply yourself SLOWLY to how each technique relates to each other clarity will come. You have to pay your market dues in screentime and structured learning.

Thanks G...I'll look for that. and Master...Yoohoo..... (the master in kung fu wasnt ....uh,he had a different name...something like Han Solo or Yoda.... or what was his name....the blind Master....

yes, I understand what youre saying about getting the basic skills down. and the 1 hr. chart reading is key, I see that.... I'm not ...wait...let me be correct.....I was.... spending too little time studying the 1 hr.... before I jumped ahead of myself by focusing intensively on trendline vision..... it was my nature as an astrologer to see the picture of the chart pattern and be drawn into it like a moth to a flame.....and I got a little burned..... (no That ,sounds like 'Kung Fu'....lol....I'm getting good now....

so , now, while I'm learning alot about trendline vision.... I cant neglect learning and mastering the basics of PA watching and Time Frame analysis ....First and foremost.

    thanks for good guidance.
