  5. Willl, your indicator set up is as developed as an 18th century hospital operating theatre... except they had better tools LOL.

Seriously though, you will need to put more effort into building an indicator set-up than you put into learning PA. Your PA has to be red hot because only then will you be able to see how and where indicators enhance PA.

An indicator is like a surgical instrument - good at a particular role and inadequate the rest of the time... that's why one indicator alone is one big, big mistake. You need to discover the strength and weakness of an indicator and how it works with your perception and this can only be achieved in multiple TF's. Trying to make any one indicator do all on one TF is a common mistake.

As I said before your choice of a second indicator must be different in it's mathematical basis. However I have to emphasise the need to build with caution. If you don't get your PA chops together first building indicator set ups will prove futile.

So the short answer: don't wait for divergence - you should have played two moves using PA before the divergence shows. Divergence just shows the energy potential but you can get a 2nd divergence following - this is where bigger TF's solve the mystery of such signals.

I could delete my indicators and trade PA alone... or I could delete price and just trade using indicators and unlike Woodie mine work. But when the two are combined they enhance each other.

Many assume everything lags price so price is king alone. Then they draw a TL and project into the future not realising what they have just done... used as indicator based on past PA that projects future S&R. There are many mathematical relationships that project into the future - like when I demonstrated how to use a "lagging" moving average to project future S&R.

Indicators take advantage of mathematical relationships but very few have the wherewithall to discover what they can reveal. It's a journey, and it starts with excellent PA.

  6. Hey Willl just about to go out for the night - it's hot and I'm wearing one of those "Bruce Lee" type Chinese silk shirts I got in Nathan St Market.

Those are so light and cool in the heat here. Much better than western style. I look like a Kung Foo star... not! Told the wife everyone will think I'm Chinese - she's still laughing.

  8. Hello YH,

thanks for the massive post.. Just want to consolidate my idea and run it by you first.

    Piority as in?

    1. 1min TF PA + Hourly TF S&R/TL / 1min TF PA + 5min TF S&R/TL (ie, higher TF)

    2. 1min TF PA + 1min S&R/TL

And: PA first, Indicator, as a reference only

  9. YH, please ignore the last post, as I was trying to give myself rules..

OK, from your lessons, and from reviewing the last few days' PA, this is the summary, it is a 5min graphs of last few days, and those are the PA signals I got in 1min charts.

The Channel of the higher TF gives a sense of direction, and I should have expected those signals to come in a certain area, and TAKE IT with confidence (hard and furious), here is da chart without TLs.

  10. And here is the charts with immediate TLs, as I connect a high to previous day's high, and a low to previous day's low, if they happened to be the channel line I leaves it as it is

Many PA (reversals/continuation) happens at areas indictor by the immedate TLs, and I should be expecting them, and TAKE IT

The last afternoon I didn't draw anything cause it is a friday afternoon, (volumes drops 60%, and sometimes 80~100 pts movement for the whole afternoon, making it untradeable)

Are the TLs corrects, in your eyes?

if so, the next task this weekend will be da indicators to help me better understands da PA.
