Intraday Futures Instant Messaging Group

  1. Hi candle,

I use all those...Yahoo, AIM, ICQ, mIRC, Hotcomm for different reasons...

but for some of the serious web conference private stuff...

I just can't use the above (Yahoo, AIM, et cetera) because I do some serious file sharing transfers and private file sharing and other stuff...

what stood out from the original post to me was Research Projects and Programming and Van Tharp trained.

I assummed some serious file sharing and collaboration of info not typically done via email...done via more secure lines.

I do know of a private group of traders in eminis and dax that fits the thread starters Keywords...

this group is not web conferencing via Yahoo nor AIM because of the type of info they are sharing.

I've already emailed the group leader the link to this thread.

I may have missed something, but the guy is looking for like-minded traders, not suggestions on how to communicate with each other. Somehow it's segued into conferencing software.

  3. so, is that how you spell "seg way", which is an overused anacronym for segment way or transition to another topic...

That's the way it's spelled. I don't know about the "overuse". If you want to use four or five words where one will do, that's up to you.

Ooo... I disagree, segue is a fine term, and not overused at all.
(I think you meant to use acronym, which segue is not.)

The post was someone seeking "like minded traders to round out our disciplined instant messaging group"... not "what do you think of using AIM or YahooIM for a chat room?" He certainly got more of the latter than the former.

So in the great tradition of Elite Trader, I'd like to add to the latter as well... if anyone wanted to start a private chat room, they could do it in the Elite Trader Chat Room. You can make them private or public.
