I can state that the insane profits are in scalps...There are just a few at the top.. Do you know what I mean about insane profits?...thousands of contracts present a problem to enter and iceberg orders are required...AND THESE ARE SCALPS! I CAN SEE THEM IN THE TIME AND SALES, ES IS THE PREFERRED SYMBOL...OK THERE ARE SOME BOND PLAYERS BUT THAT IS OUT OF MY LEAGUE...HSI LOL Do you think these scalpers post on ET? Why? too funny...they could post about their bracket stops...ohhh lol...too funny. It's an entire other world outside of ET. If I had a choice to make a few ticks with a tight stop in under a few seconds or even a few minutes verses 500 ticks in 10 days...or 50 ticks overnight...I would take the hyper trades in a heartbeat/nanosecond! Getting a VPS in Chicago as close to the exchange with a seat on the CME is my next step...but I will be out of ET by then. I love this site and have been here for a decade and 1/2 but there is life outside of ET I am discovering. i do not honestly know if I can break away...but I am not too old to open my mind. I would love to be one of those successful scalpers in the Hamptons. Really i mean it...you know you guys would like that too right? I have made some long term posting friends here in ET but I feel it might be nearing to an end for me and I might be saying goodbye...Funny If I keep losing I will stay here...what does that mean to you? I didn't say it was NOT possible. I said it's usually done by automated bots that can trade for ticks really well.
Completely wrong. I hit about 40% of my predictions, which is poor. I do not trade on my information. I trade on my algorithm since I'm not that bright or experience. my student did poorly on his own Monday, goes to MIT, and looks as foolish as I did when he thought he new. His words, "I got it." Good observation.
Yes, look for trades that win in my 4 indicators. I wait for the set up as close as possible. I do not wander from that in live trading. I do still use demo as i am looking for a 2 tic..3 tic..solution. I'm having trouble getting results posted today as I am now on my computer. I was able to post previously by screenshot and that phone is damaged. Yesterday was 5/5 plus $62.50 with an average trade time of like 40 seconds. This is how I demo'd for over a year, every 5 min.bar i could, until my win rate was 80%. I need 83% to break even. So every couple of months for 2 years I went live with $1500.00-2000.00. Losing 11k over that period to me was, what was needed to convert from demo to live. The psychological factors needed to be dealt with In my case it was ego, fear, excitement aka gambling fever. To me, yesterday was a very successful day netting about $50. I personally trade 3 contracts live and yesterday was 6/6 or plus 18 tics or $225, netting roughly($10 for travodate, $45 exch fees), $170.00. My capital was at risk for -$187.50(5 tics), and for roughly 240 seconds. The short time is about your comment of big orders and movers. I use them to get me in and out. They use to empty my account the second i released the stop. That was the gambler in me. I was a fool and have grown past my character defects. Funny, from my digging today, so far it might be that you're one of the people to learn that kind of stuff from. I have the same feelings about the intraday trading as you are totally dependent on the luck while trading on short-term basis. If you really want to achieve something big through trading then you have to work with lengthy mindset. Work on a plan all the time!
