When I tried a demo of Amibroker, I thought one could set their own criteria for intraday screening, depending on who's data feed you use. It's been a while though, and since my memory isn't what it use to be, I could be wrong........
I have not used First Alert, although I've seen their scanns list on their site but I did use Whisper from Insight and I have to tell you that in my opinion I agree with surf and Stock777 Trade-Ideas is by far the best sophisticated alerts product out today. I keep raving about it because in this crappy market I am still making bank because of it. To me the big difference is not just the alerts but the filters they give me. http://www.trade-ideas.com/Config.php?dest=View.php&O=3_3d_0&WN=FREE+High/Low+Ticker.... good luck in the search
I'll second that and the info they have a glossary that is packed with useful info on context for the alerts... an informative education in itself: http://www.trade-ideas.com/Glossary/ Cash
www.trade-ideas.com looks okay, but I should have mentioned that I have a specific custom filter I created, and need to program it in... I have trouble finding one that gives you real time data, and is customizable that isn't $200+...
I agree that Trade-Ideas is an outstanding service, but don't forget about HotScans and MarketGauge from Dataview, both of which are excellent at capturing moves associated with unusual volume. You can learn more about them at http://scans.marketgauge.com/dvhomepage.asp. Trade well, cwb
I've described my trading plan to Trade-Ideas on several occasions and their support has made a custom alert window that matches it. You may want to email them what you need. Best
TradeStation was at the recent Chicago Traders Expo in June. I saw a demo of how Trade-Ideas and TradeStation integrate together. They now have it on the website: http://www.trade-ideas.com/VideoHelp/Menu.html?video=Linking: Generic Option #2
