Interview preparation

  1. I'm planning on joining a prop firm at the end of this year. Started researching/planning last February. I would suggest learning more about prop firms before you interview. ET excellent place to learn a lot. Spend some time reading threads in the forum, especially the prop firm thread. I've learned a lot from doing this. Also, appears there are a lot of prop shops out there, so do some due diligence on the firm you are interviewing with, may be better choices out there for you.

know (or have some background) on the greek letters (vegas, delta, theta...), black scholes, and option pricing models. All the prop firms that traded in the pits (s&p futures/options, and eurodollars) that i interviewed at where really impressed and asked if i had some background with em. All the spread and option trading props base there models on the greeks.
