Thanks Chuck, can't say i ever been to Oostduinkerke but went many times to Belgium, considered several times moving there while still living in Europe and doing business in the area but never found a place there that screamed like "great place to live in" , in contrary to Madrid. But I've met over the years a bunch of Belgium folks as well as expats living there and they appear to enjoy their life there, if I ever get back entrepreneurship velleities (or the wife runs away to Belgium with the kids ) we might make the move, as it would be easier out of Brussels than out of Madrid. i'm also fluent in french, so language in Belgium should mostly be OK. Hopefully Madrid works out fine and we don't need to move again anytime soon, the older and the more kids, the harder it gets to move countries. Thanks for the offer about restaurant tips, might remind u next time we visit. Wishing u all the best up there !
Check out the Belgian coast next time, it's only 65km but it's nice. Quiet in the winter, and busy in the summer, and something for everyone imo
