Bitcoin spot etf's are not allowed to stake, if you know how bitcoin works, you won't even ask the question, and you're welcome to provide any mention of staking on any of the bitcoin spot etf's prospectus if you have any

If you're talking about other crypto asset etf's, you can show where you saw it mentioned

i didn't see it anywhere. I am asking the question. I was more asking about ethereum or pos chains rather than bitcoin. Someone could create an overnight lockup like a repo.

Yes, staking is built-in to the protocol level on Proof of Stake coins like Ethereum or Solana, as such there is a facility whereby signing a transaction is strictly for the purpose of associating the wallet address for staking purposes only per the balance held in the address and would not authorize any other actions, such as and most importantly the ability to transfer the coins

Gensler/SEC was very much against any yield products on crypto assets and thus specifically advised all Eth etf proposals to exclude the staking optionality or else risk rejection

Some say this is because it would put crypto assets in direct competition with banks and US treasury or other debt instrument assets

Bitcoin is a Proof of Work crypto asset and does not have any native yield built-in to the protocol and any staking would require giving up control of the bitcoin, i.e. wrapped btc (wbtc, counterparty ownership), and staking on the crypto platform such as AAVE (another counterparty risk, hacking vulnerability, and other risks)
