Has anyone here ever been to the Interbourse Ski Week or are planning to go this year? It is a big ski race between members of the world's financial exchanges. Traders and skiing, what could be cooler? If anyone from the NYSE or CBOE is looking for a "ringer" for the racing I will gladly exchange my skills for a plane ticket. I'm told this is common and is all in fun. For more information on this ski week go to: www.interbourse.org/swx/interbourse_swx.html or pick up the latest edition of SKI magazine. Here's a glimpse of what you'll be getting in return for your sponsorship: http://www.geocities.com/opmtrader/opmskier.html Not too much racing on there but you get the point. I was really taken with the idea of many traders gathering at the same place at the same time to participate in a sporting event. I know skiing is quite popular with a number of the world's foremost quant/traders including Nassim Taleb, Espen Haug, and Didier Sornette. Think snow.
