Tahoe/Adv GET chart(not to be confused with a add-on feature with the same name)/Adv Chart. I can't tell the diff anymore, my prayer is they don't change the name Qchart to GETchart, ETchart is ok
from experience using both esignal and qcharts, i'll say that there are a few improvements that esignal could use for most experienced and active traders. first, the floating window idea(where one can take a chart and put it anywhere on a screen...among multiple monitors even) needs to be incorporated into qcharts. secondly, the data feed for esignal needs to be improved for extremely active traders. however, where qcharts is vastly superior is the layout and interface of charts, the use of hotlists, the ability to add may more crucial components to worksheets(such as net since open), and the HOTLISTS. For active traders, the very short term up and down filters are very useful. i hope there is work on a hybrid of the two and a meshing of good qualities of each platform.
Raphel, any new news re this? Will Mike Condra come back to work on Qcharts? Any info appreciated. TIA
...snip... Rather than spending so much to acquire a second rate data vendor and charting package why not take eSignal's second rate charting package and with the money you are spending to buy Quote.com use it to MAKE YOUR MAJOR CHARTING PACKAGE MULTI THREADED so it does not cause SO MUCH CPU hogging and resource clogging... cj... __________________ HAVE STOP - WILL TRADE If You Have The Vision We Have The Code
you mean actually be efficient? HAHAHAHHA All they care about is $$. Screw multithreading (the CEO probably has no idea what that even means) -c
I do have to say that when I saw the QC guys at the Chicago expo last Fall, they were very friendly. The sales manager (or one of them) from the MA office actually took time to explain some of the new changes that Quote.com was making and I explained to him some of my complaints that I had at the time. to be honest, I personally haven't experienced any problems with Quote.com lately. I know a couple friends who use it on a daily basis as their main charting program and they also don't have any issues. It runs on my PC quite smoothly. My message to esignal would be: If it absolutely isn't broke, don't fix it. That's not to say that quote.com is PERFECT, but as far as I know, I haven't had any problems with it. oh well -c
I must second the message above from ChiBondKing to ESignal. I like QCharts the way it is, it's got some unique features that I didn't find in other software. If you INSIST on fixing it with enhancements, and imposing the inevitable price increases, then please offer customers the OPTION to upgrade, without making it mandatory.
