what up with this market price cap pop up? popping up today every time i place an order. makes no sense. at least to me. what is it? typed market price cap in help\search text box in TWS-> menu pop up-clicked on "bypass market cap"-order ticket window pops up..makes no f** sense once again..
second attempt to use search in TWS returns this- makes no sense once again. i'm doing something wrong? is search in TWS actually working at all?
Anyone else having issues with mouse click delays and pauses? It became real noticeable with TWS 932 and higher, if I roll back to 931 the problem is gone. For example, I've got an autohotkey script (which still works fine in 931) to populate several fields in an order ticket, and due to pauses and "missed mouse clicks" it is unusable now. IB - Was any major change to screen handling/mouse handling made in 932?
well..i can confirm that every click on whatever takes forever..and i'm on 929 stand alone. open\close any window,chart,T&S-doesn't matter..simple things. dunno on what IB's QA test their beautiful product(if ever),but on my good old dual core AMD -it's barely working. closing chart would take at least couple seconds. looks like every time we upgrade TWS-we have to update whole PC as well..
TWS peaked in 2009 I think IBIS content is good, but it was better as a standalone. If you have TWS and a full IB account there's no need for more windows to tell you the same things.
This happened to me yesterday. Somebody at IB screwed something up on the backend without telling anyone. Fortunately it has only happened to about 2% of my orders.
i said same thing 10 years ago,but they still not listening. you can's stuff TWS with everything, and satisfy every user request.decade ago TWS was simple execution platform and it was fast and fairly simple. EXECUTION PLATFORM that is. you need charts or whatever-you go some place else. all we got is a price. that was it. now it's a bloated piece of *** where everything is slow. orders are slow, charts are slow, various problems all over the place. logical end. cause you can't create one size fits all. at the end of this stupid attempt\idea-we all will suffer
There are no major changes in handling of mouse and key events; please PM me and I'll give you my Interactive Brokers email address, and we'll discuss this further via emails (I'd want to see a log file of your setup on newer build, and possibly a video that shows the issue with newer builds, I'll guide you thru the steps). Thank you very much for assisting us with this.
try to save all settings in file with name you can remember, make a copy of it in separate directory, then delete everything(except this settings file) in your account folder(usually something like C:\Jts\dqlfllgkgkhk then relogin, and load your settings from this file. for whatever reason color scheme will be dark(i don't understand why. color scheme is first and main thing ,that should be in settings). also note that some buttons will disappear(don't aske me why,i don't know, why such basic things are still not solved for 12 years that i'm with Ib). you have to add them up manually. then exit and login again. on login window pick your color scheme. i just did that after market close. it feels like it makes things a bit better. but not by much. try this and tell us,if there is any changes. Thank you!
