OK thanks for letting me know. I only just read the ICE release that they were shutting the floor, and they claimed over 75% of the volume was already put through the screen. I found that hard to believe, the SB options quotes are some of the most uncompetitive i have seen - i always assumed that was because it was a floor dominated market. Anyway a topic for another thread.
Don't know whether this is an issue related to the data problems mentioned above, but charts are not consistently updating in real time. Lots of dropped ticks, bars missing ... kind of a mess.
Also on the main TWS page the (left-click to-) dropdown to change an order value seems to take forever to appear, slowing down manual execution of trades almost prohibitively.
Bob, I trade only FX and futures and don't witness the problems you report. Yes, I do have problems maybe once in 2-3 months, but nothing like what you report. Do the issues you report primarily affect stocks? Why don't you switch brokers, I would find it really hard to trade with IB with the kind of issues you are facing, had I been you. The way you describe, it seems a lot of times you are in a situation of no-control, when you don't have access to data, your fills, account equity etc. It is like trading blindly. Don't you find any other broker in the market who can fulfill most of your other requirements?
Hi Bob, I am trying to address your issue of missing market data. For a few days, I am not able to reproduce the problem you described. Do you know how to reproduce this problem consistently? You can send me an email, it will reach me sooner. Thanks
I hope IB reps here are reading this: http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?threadid=248283 This is more serious than anything on this thread so far.
Again and again, and it is getting worse. No Level1 data in TWS for US SMART selected stock (etf) sybols. THis is really annoying.
Looks the same for me... the closer to the US open the more problems with missing data, mainly for less active tickers. Have to chat with them again >> terrible experience again. F...
