I've been a IB customer for over 10 years and never had a problem.

Found a mistake on my tax form and filled out a ticket 2 weeks ago.
No response on my ticket and it is still marked as new.
What is the point of support tickets if there is no response at 2 weeks?

I called today at 1pm PST and listened to music for 1 hour on hold.
It finally gets through to ringing with no one answering.
How do you guys reach support?

IB, please answer the ticket system or hire more people to answer phone.

    Thanks.

I've had an open issue regarding CFD trades not working as they should for over a month now. Last time they said "we're really close to solving it" but that felt more sarcastic than sincere. It was regarding market orders not executing, therefore fairly significant for most traders and I doubt I was the only one having this problem.

IB should really discontinue their "ticket" contact system.
This system has been a problem for a long time.

    Use "chat".

You will get way better results.

    IB has many good people.
You just got to learn what method works best.

P.S.---Always use courtesy when trying to solve a problem.
After all, the point is for everybody (IB and the customer) to fix an obstacle/problem, move forward, and make money.

    I didn't know about chat.
    Thanks for the suggestion.

I tried chat and they said the US Tax department is closed.
    I'll try again tomorrow morning.

Same here. Open ticket since 2/21/14 with very basic question. Not even assigned to anyone yet.funny thing is that they keep saying that ticket system is the fastest way to get respond from IB

It is my understanding that the filing requirements for brokers and traders are different. Your IRS at work...

I will be consulting my CPA again this year.

P.S. My TradeStation 1099-B is late again this year. Still waiting...

I talked to chat yesterday morning and they sent a message to US Tax team to update.
    There is no update yet.
I will try chat again if there is no update by tomorrow.
