ICE dont offer discounts to individuals, i trade TF (russell 2K) and Z (Ftse 100 futures) on ICE, data is $100 a month for each. No discounts if you only want level 1 data, or are a retail individual.

I think its only a matter of time before CME abolish the retail discounts and charge everyone the po rate, precisely because of what Bob111 is saying in his posts above, pros can just use retail data and save thousands a year.

ICE have already closed this 'loophole' by not offering any retail discounts.

  2. If IB allow only 100 symbols subscription (ONLY equities, no future/option), I will choose tradingview for $299 per every two year, since I need roughly 400 symbols data similar to SnP500.

Of course, based on my predetermined(changable) c:\input.txt (400 symbols), I hope tradingview or other vendor provide feed in c:\output.txt, for 400 prices every 1 min or five.

Is there any other company to meet my personal situation?

IB's limitation depends on the account size, it increases the more funds you have in your account. Currently I'm limited to around 400 simultaneous quotes for example.

  4. I heard that the account size depends on the initial cash amount, although I am not sure. Maybe 10K, 50K and 100K? Really a beginner in IB.

Number of simultaneous real-time quotes you can get is dynamic, based on your current account size.

  7. Thanks for helpful info, specially IB beginner like me. REALLY FIRST time to see this link.

Maybe $30/month for more than 100 symbols, no matter how much I fund in IB account....?

DO they provide automatic (API???) program so that 400 current price of my personal watchlist will be stored in my PC.

yes. APi is there,it's free and it's very easy to use. even if you have very basic programming skills. as for storing the data-that's could be very complicated, could be easy. depends on what are you looking for. it starts from the fact that IB is using snapshot data, not pure stream. then-there is how API itself works. in short-the price and size(for last price for example) will be two separate events. it will first shoot the price,then-size. there is a very active group of IB's API users at yahoo- TWSAPI. all those little details, along with examples are there

if i was you-i would look into IQ Feed. i believe they provide live, streaming data for 500 tickers for regular ,standard subscription and number can go up to whatever your internet provider(of your soft and PC) can handle. they also have API(not cheap, i believe $300 for a year). easy to use. probably the cheapest data provider out there

  10. Thanks for both.

I would pay couple of hundred dollars annually, subscribing roughly 400 real time (every min or every 5-min)feed, stored as c:\output.txt in my PC, depending on my personal watchlist on my own choice in c:\input.txt with 400 symbols in SnP500.

BTW IQFEED is cheaper and widely-used than the other major eSignal, isn't it?

Furthermore, IB does NOT provide prices for more than 100 symbols, no matter how much funded and how often I trade?
